The Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will play a critical role in driving the innovation and advancement of Nike’s manufacturing processes through the development and implementation of advanced capabilities in Automation and Digitization. This position will lead and ensure the integration of cutting-edge technologies that enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering work in the design, development, and deployment of automation and digitization solutions across Nike’s manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with the Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to align team initiatives with Nike’s strategic roadmap for technological innovation in manufacturing.
- Drive the adoption of advance technologies, including robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT), to create a smart manufacturing environment.
- Oversee the development of automation frameworks and standards that ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability of automated systems.
- Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for new automation and digitization projects, providing data-driven recommendations.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of advanced capabilities into product and process design.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of automation and digitization initiatives and their impact on manufacturing performance.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Advanced Manufacturing, with a strong focus on Automation and Digitization.
- Proficiency in GSD and background in factory capacity planning & management.
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams and guiding the development of complex automation projects.
- Expertise in automation technologies, software development for manufacturing systems, and experience with digitization initiatives.
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications are preferred.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of delivering automation projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and improve manufacturing processes through technology.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
