WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As Demand and Supply Management (DSM), we serve the Nike planning function combining insights and analytics to sense and craft how much product consumers will want, where and when they’ll want it. This offense combines work in the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) and Assortment Planning sub functions to support a more detailed and flexible approach to serve consumers and drive inventory efficiency for NIKE and our partners.
You will be a part of the NMP AP team and closely interact with the NMP MFP teams to ensure plans and directions are aligned long term, pre-season and in-season. You will also form positive relationships with the assortment planning teams to support and guide them to make the right product and assortment decision, keeping the consumer at the center of strategy.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Lead Assortment Planner, NMP EMEA to establish clear end to end bottom up franchise plans for one (or more) major accounts, partnering with the Integrated Commercial Teams, Consumer Marketplace AP, and MFP to create seasonal plans grounded in revenue, inventory, profitability, productivity, margin, and consumer centricity. You will create pre-season franchise plans that support the commercial and product goals of Nike and consumer field of play. You will manage these plans through to in-season optimization and delivery of commercial targets through a robust rolling forecast process and collaborative weekly offense with the Integrated Account Teams and various cross-functional stakeholders. Next to this, you will be expected to play a crucial role either as Planning captain of an NMP CFOP squad, or as workstream leader of a Planning-wide change initiative.
BUSINESS SKILLS
Planning: You have 8+ years of work experience, preferably in (retail merch) financial planning, and the ability to apply that knowledge independently in your work. Demonstrated experience working with stock and sales plans, high-level P&L comprehension, experience with Excel or other planning tools, demonstrable comprehension of basic analytics principles, and experience with retail KPIs are important for this role. You understand the importance and value of scenario planning. You are able to collaborate optimally with and effective influence up- & downstream functions and are aware of emerging trends in planning.
Critical Thinking: You demonstrate strong problem solving & critical thinking skills by developing proven plans that optimize trade-offs & outcomes. You think beyond prescribed solutions, demonstrating industry & market trends to improve business outcomes. You understand retail metrics & business drivers and can flexibly adapt scenarios based on continuous input from business partners.
Risk Management: You can assess risks and opportunities that are grounded in facts, make impactful recommendations, and present options for resolution. You assess risk within business objectives, taking a holistic business view
Analytics: You know how to use statistical forecasting, data science, and new ways of thinking to develop plans and drive better decisions. You can expand existing Nike frameworks to perform analyses in a logical structure. You have sufficient expertise in Excel, PowerBI, or other data modeling applications (this is key to performing optimally in this role). What you do not yet know, you are able to learn and implement quickly.
Consumer focus: You can ground yourself quickly in consumer needs & the marketplace from available internal and external data and are able to link your plans to market trends. You have an awareness of Nike’s product portfolio and strategy, including expectations around consumer response, growth opportunities and product lifecycle.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Co-create and influence the seasonal plan inclusive of RSV, net sales, margin, receipts, and inventory by Franchise/App equivalent for your CFOP(s) and/or MPU(s) (leveraging consistent business logic & analytics) together with Consumer Marketplace AP.
Develop strategies to meet CFoP strategic and financial goals and own product-driven OTB forecast to inform manufacturing decisions through to in-season optimization. Apply these strategies in your Planning captaincy role at the CFOP table or through your workstream leadership within Planning.
Analyze the business against plan and forecasted in-season sales and inventories on a monthly or weekly basis, assessing business risk / opportunity & developing action plans and driving escalations where needed. Hold the right peers and stakeholders accountable for the outcome and ensure follow-through on your recommendations.
Monitor top Franchise SSPs & influence x-marketplace decision-making to optimize product health and captured consumer demand and inform trading / pricing decisions
Set and Manage E2E Inventory health within your CFOP(s) & MPU(s), plus understanding any impact on overall marketplace health
Communicate and advocate Assortment Plan to Sales (or internal x-functional leadership team) at Franchise-/App equivalent-level through lens of CFoP and in partnership with Merchandising to optimize sell-in in line with MPU(s) strategy and marketplace role
Drive the insights that help build the NMP merch financial plan accordingly with consumer-right marketplace capacity and business strategy, including supporting the MFP conversation with central MFP, Finance, and other marketplace teams to drive consumer-right demand plans
Actively participate in the development and deployment of NMP and MPU multi-year strategy. Lead one or more concepts in this space through the lens of franchise management.
Collaborate with Central AP to deliver MPU insights for central reporting, marketplace franchise health monitoring, seasonal templatization, and competitive analysis
Drive projects independently and lead through others in the absence of official hierarchy (day-to-day)
Prioritize workload & deliverables within projects & workstreams (day-to-day)
Develop & practice best-in-class storytelling and communication (and provide clarity & visibility with our partners)
