WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
They will work across Nike’s Planning function and the broader cross-functional offense, partnering closely with Sport Planning, EBP, Finance, GMs, and other key teams to deliver top‑down financial targets both pre‑season and in‑season. They will collaborate across Sport teams to drive trade‑off decisions that elevate consumer demand, strengthen margin, and optimize consumer and inventory health.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is seeking a Lead Brand Business Planner (BP) who plays a pivotal role in defining, shaping, and setting consumer demand. This individual will own multi‑season revenue, receipt, and inventory plans across Global and Brand teams to serve consumers with precision. They build hypotheses grounded in both data and insight, translating analysis into action through sharp problem‑solving and critical thinking. They bring a deep understanding of consumers, the marketplace, product dynamics, and inventory planning—grounded in qualitative and quantitative insights. They are a collaborative partner who proactively builds strong relationships across both upstream and downstream functions. With strong financial and commercial acumen, they apply sound judgment in decision‑making and problem‑solving
5+ years’ experience in retail, planning, and/or product management
Strong ability to influence and work constructively with others through clear, effective communication
Actively listens and contributes to move work forward
Exceptional written/verbal communication, analytical abilities, and attention to detail
Ability to synthesize and interpret market data to inform the Operating Plan; assesses risk and solves problems to drive results
Strong command of retail metrics including Retail Sales, ST%, WOS, Inventories (marketplace + DC), Revenue, and Margin; able to manipulate data efficiently
Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You’ll partner with Sport and the broader Business Planning team to define and lead multi‑season Operating Plans across Global, Sport, and Marketplace dimensions. You’ll set long‑range financial plans that reflect consumer demand and Sport strategies, and you’ll reconcile assortment plans with operating plans to align with Sport architecture. Your top‑down financial targets will guide franchise/style plans, financial forecasts, and end‑to‑end inventory forecasts—including liquidation plans across Geographies and Sports. You’ll collaborate across Consumer and Product Engine teams to align forecasts and communicate results and impacts to cross‑functional and leadership partners.
Define and lead the multi‑season Operating Plan for Sport and Product Engine
Adjust and align Operating Plans to Sport architecture based on targets and actuals
Determine Global and Geo pre‑season top‑down financial targets (Consumer Demand, Revenue, Margin, Inventory) for Geo, Gender, and Channel to inform Franchise/Style plans, financial forecasts, and E2E inventory forecasts
Define location‑level (Geo, Channel, Sport) consumer demand, revenue, receipt, and inventory plan
Identify and recommend cross‑Sport trade‑off actions to drive consumer demand, strengthen Nike and partner margin, and optimize overall marketplace inventory health
