The North America Jordan Brand Creative Studio is a multi-disciplinary creative team spanning across art direction, brand narrative, and retail design. We connect the community of basketball culture with aspirational storytelling and experiences, in real life and digitally, to grow the future of the game.

As our North America Lead in Seasonal Retail Design, you will partner with & support the North America Creative Director (as well as Global counterparts) to define and develop the Design POV for seasonal concepts & solutions for retail environments and programs to inspire and engage consumers!

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Jordan Brand seeks a Lead Designer within the Retail Design team who will support consumer led North America retail executions and the evolution of the Jordan Brand at retail. You will build and develop impactful, scalable design solutions for immersive retail environments. You will collaborate with internal and external design teams to complete projects by using design processes and standard methodologies to ensure the creative intent, design results, timelines and budgets are met. You are tapped into the pulse of future technology and design trends. You apply this thinking to your work, always looking to expand the possibilities of immersive Storytelling and Environments. You are able to ideate creative concepts, illustrate your ideas and be hands on as you help drive projects to completion!

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will reflect Jordan’s design ethos and improve the consumer retail experience. You will refine and evolve retail storytelling concepts across a variety of retail destinations, building original design solutions, leading creative work from insight to concept to creation to execution. This position requires a forward thinking, detail oriented graphic design minded creative, that builds from the global and geo creative direction for design development and generates implementation standards for consistent execution throughout projects. You will work independently and with a team to develop the right approach for each project, factoring in the needs of the Consumer, the Brand and our Business partners. You will communicate and present design concepts to the Creative Director and build presentation materials that effectively communicate design intent, as well as produce project production files when required.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role you will be working with a diverse set of teams and individuals within functions across the North America and Global Jordan Brand teams. This role reports directly to the North America Creative Director, and builds and sustains strong and collaborative working relationships with Global Creative Studio, Global Retail Design, Global & Geo Jordan Brand Leadership, NA functional leads, and across Brand/Business teams in order to meet brand and business objectives.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years experience in developing retail design solutions and expressions across a multitude of destinations.
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Distinct design POV and willingness to collaborate x-functional to power best-in-class retail environments and experiences.
  • Proven outstanding ability to apply and perform design skills, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, art direction, visual presentation development and layout.
  • Knowledge and sensitivity to trends influencing design in general, and in graphic design, fashion, and athletics specifically.
  • A Passion for Sport & Culture. A storyteller at heart.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design processes. Advanced knowledge of computer systems (Adobe suite, Grasshopper, ACAD, SketchUp, Enscape). Ability to sketch design ideas and visually communicate concept development thoughts ideation.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including meeting facilitation and presentations. Proven ability to effectively communicate concepts/design intent to senior creative team.
  • Ability to source, screen and manage contractors/external vendors including design and production studios/agencies.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and geography partners.
  • Partner closely with studio leadership to help support project execution and delivery.
  • Work closely across design, product, portfolio and business teams to build alignment in support of studio goals.
  • Travel 5 - 10%
