WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike, Inc. is seeking a Retail Story Design Creative Producer to manage and drive complex, multi-faceted projects—ensuring they are executed on time, on budget, and to Nike standards.
As a Retail Story Design Creative Producer, you will intake briefs from Brand, Nike Direct and Retail partners, build workback schedules, manage budgets, oversee creative reviews, and produce processes and schedules for multiple workstreams. You’ll know the exact status of your projects, work cross-functionally to problem-solve, identify risks and opportunities, and elevate issues as needed to the projects team Lead Designer and the Studio Design Director.
You will be a key driver of creative workflows, ensuring seamless delivery of creative output to Global and Territory partners.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this role, you’ll orchestrate operational processes that enable retail Story Design to deliver Nike storytelling in retail concepts and in-store experiences. You’ll manage 365 Story, seasonless and long-range planning, streamline workflows, and ensure alignment across cross-functional partners. Your work will create clarity, discipline, and speed for the Retail Design team.
- Manages and drives storytelling projects within the creative studio – APLA Brand Creative Retail Design / Story
- Knowledge of retail workstreams across story design development, 365 & seasonless story design.
- Drives retail design process, to ensure work moves forward, creative review gates are hit, and assets are delivered on time and within allocated budget
- Expert of Project Management 101: project tracking, vendor relationships and contracts, budget management, POs and invoicing, escalating risks, identifying new opportunities and collaborating with their peers to share best practices
- Communicates risks, opportunities and solutions to partners and stakeholders
- Fosters positive ways of working and implements strategic solutions to keep the workstreams on track
- Manage and facilitate a variety of creative projects, with a focus on Retail Story Design within the Retail Design Brand Creative Studio
- Engaged in the creative process from end to end: briefing, creative development and reviews, and asset delivery
- Manage vendor/contractor relationships, partner with our legal team to establish contracts and maintain usage rights
- Develop timelines and ensure our team is on track to reach these milestones
- Maintain organization and version control across all project documents
- Fine-tune creative briefs with key stakeholders and be the source of information when critical questions come up throughout the life of the project. Working closely with key partners (design, operations, Global, Territories, Brand, etc)
- Forecast creative resourcing needs based on incoming requests and stay close to team bandwidth
- Celebrate our wins and help to adapt when we have setbacks
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll report to the APLA Creative Operations Director and collaborate closely with Retail Design leadership. You’ll partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Brand, Digital Operations, Visual Merchandising, Nike Direct, Legal, Procurement, Store Operations and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of retail design solutions. This role sits at the intersection of marketing and operations, enabling Nike’s retail storytelling at scale. This role is also part of the larger APLA Brand Planning and Operations team.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Architecture, Marketing, or Design. Will accept any suitable combination of education and experience, and training.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in brand, retail design operations or strategic planning with a global, matrixes organization.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions.
- Expertise in project management, resource planning, and budget oversight.
- Understanding of the retail marketplace, brand storytelling, 365 applications, construction & story development.
- Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business.
- Ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in planning and collaboration tools (Airtable, Smartsheet, Box)
- Comfort thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
