WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Lead, Digital Marketing SNKRS reports directly to the Director, Digital Marketing. This role will work on driving brand strength, fuel consumer demand and build our long-term connection with consumers. This incumbent will partner with our Japan Marketing leaders, the Asia-Pacific Latin America geography and Global Brand Marketing teams across Nike to build more effective and efficient ways to encourage and connect with athletes*. Key internal partners include Brand Marketing, Integrated Media, Brand Creative, Jordan and Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) teams. Externally, this incumbent will collaborate with local digital marketing agencies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Lead, Digital Marketing SNKRS to join our Tokyo-based marketing team. The ideal candidate should aim to be one of the world’s most innovative storytellers, value visionary thinking, team player and championing imagination to foster an inclusive culture to be successful. A passion for sport, a relentless curiosity for the consumer and belief in our brand vision are essential to helping us create the future for the Nike brand. This role requires appreciation of data, consumer insights and the creative process as well as have passion for the sneaker culture. Experience in building digital marketing strategy and programming for SNKRS is critical to this role.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing or related experience in marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a closely related field.
  • A passion for digital marketing as well as sneaker culture.
  • Ability to develop digital marketing strategy and lead key initiatives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (in both English and Japanese) including meeting facilitation and making strategic recommendations and presentations to cross-functional team.
  • Hands-on expertise on marketing analytics, deriving useful insights and applying findings.
  • Team-first mindset with proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • App marketing and business experience is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a part of Digital Marketing team, you will work on annual and seasonal digital marketing strategy including programming 13-week journeys and orchestrating communications across SNKRS app. To that end, you’ll,

  • Maintain overall health of consumer communications through regular marketing performance reports, promoting a test-and-learn agenda, and an iterative marketing culture.
  • Manage the team’s day-to-day relationship with agency partners and marketing leads.

Success will be measured on increases in overall contribution to SNKRS business including traffic to the app and sell-through of key products, as well as brand strength, acquisition, engagement and retention of SNKRS members.
