WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Reporting to the Director of Sport Planning, APLA, this role is heavily collaborative, working with cross-functional teams in Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Business and Inventory Planning.

We’re searching for a strategic, detail-oriented Assortment Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering consumer-right assortments for Global Football. The ideal candidate combines strong retail planning expertise with advanced Excel skills and operational excellence. You can build hypotheses and data-driven analysis, translating insights into action through problem-solving and critical thinking skills. You have a deep understanding of consumer, marketplace, product, and inventory planning, with actions grounded in qualitative research, data, and insights to support your view. You are a great collaborator who proactively builds positive relationships across the organization with both upstream and downstream functions. You are known for stepping up to address difficult issues, operate effectively
when the way forward isn't clear, develop innovative ideas and win with consumers by understanding their business to drive success.
This role requires the ability to influence stakeholders and manage seasonal planning processes end-to-end. The candidate will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
6+ years in business planning, assortment planning, merchandise planning or equivalent experience
Retail Planning Expertise: Strong understanding of assortment planning, inventory management, and retail financial metrics
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling); experience with planning systems (SAP, o9, Workbench) preferred
Operational Mindset: Ability to manage complex seasonal calendars, code gates, and planning deliverables with precision
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
The Lead Assortment Planner for Global Football in APLA drives the creation and execution of seasonal assortments that balance consumer demand, financial targets, and marketplace strategies. You will build and manage seasonal assortment plans, developing bottom-up forecasts, and optimize inventory to maximize brand revenue across territories. You will own critical planning tools and processes ensuring timely, accurate submissions for seasonal gates and code gate milestones. Leveraging advanced analytics and Excel, you will monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
Success depends on strong cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Marketplace, Supply Planning, Business Planning, and other teams to align on and continuously adjust plans to drive assortment strategies and seasonal priorities.
Seasonal Management: Build and manage seasonal assortment plans, ensuring alignment with financial targets, consumer insights, and marketplace strategies
Retail Planning & Forecasting: Develop bottom-up forecasts and manage assortment plans to optimize inventory and brand revenue across multiple territories
Operational Excellence: Own key planning tools and processes ensuring timely submissions and accuracy for seasonal code gates and activation milestones
Data Analysis & Insights: Leverage Excel and advanced analytics to track performance, identify risks/opportunities, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandising, Marketplace, and Global & Territory teams to align on assortment strategies and seasonal priorities
