The GPS Places Team is dedicated to delivering outstanding spaces and experiences that enhance employee engagement and support business performance. The team operates across five core functions: programme operations, real estate, standards, construction programme management, and design. Together, they create and maintain environments that attract and retain top talent.
You will collaborate with a dynamic group of GPS and Nike business leaders, as well as external partners. The team excels in problem-solving, clear communication, and the delivery of high-quality projects. Collectively, you will ensure that programmes are completed efficiently, within budget, and in alignment with Nike’s vision and strategy.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent technical, leadership, and organisational skills. They are detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced settings. This person possesses a strong understanding of construction safety, processes, and contracts, and is adept at managing multiple stakeholders while advocating for Nike and the team’s interests.
- Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent education, experience, and training.
- Minimum of 6 years’ professional experience in engineering, construction programme management, or design, with evidence of increasing responsibility.
- At least 3 years’ experience acting as an owner’s representative on commercial, corporate, or workplace projects.
- Proven track record in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Working knowledge of permitting, design development, construction delivery, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, negotiate with vendors, and manage cross-functional stakeholder expectations.
What You’ll Work On
As Lead Programme Manager, you will oversee all aspects of projects on Nike’s behalf. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, fostering collaboration among all stakeholders.
- Act as Nike’s representative, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and vision.
- Develop and manage stakeholder communication, collaborating with transition management and Nike’s leadership.
- Devise strategies for programme execution, including resource allocation, risk mitigation, and contingency planning.
- Oversee multiple projects, focusing on high-level planning, risk management, and business objectives.
- Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Nike’s standards and policies.
- Support the procurement process, manage budgets and report to finance partners, and collaborate with legal on contracts, safeguarding project goals.
- Manage scope changes across projects to minimise disruptions while maintaining alignment with Nike’s strategic goals.
