WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be a part of the Global Controlling organization reporting to the Global Inventory Controls Director within the Global Inventory and Supply Chain Controlling team. In this position, you will work cross-functionally with various Operations and Information Technology Compliance teams, among others, in support of strategic initiatives. You will also partner with Finance Governance and Controls as well as other Global Controlling teammates to develop and implement inventory management best practices.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Lead, Inventory Control Accountant, you will be responsible for leading multiple strategic initiatives, representing Controlling to enable strategies across a wide range of technical, operational and internal control related matters. You will also actively support in the design and transformation of internal controls within NIKE’s inventory and supply chain environment, ensuring compliance with policy and SOX.
The Lead, Inventory Control Accountant will be driven, organized and highly collaborative, exhibiting strong leadership and communications skills. The role requires a high degree of engagement with a diverse range of business partners. Candidates for this role thrive in an environment of ambiguity, accountability, and collaboration in support of Nike’s strategic initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with growing responsibility in public accounting, industry accounting, finance, or related functions
CPA required
Strong understanding and experience with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to optimally identify, communicate, and influence technical matters, issues, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
Proven ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations
Experience with large multinational companies, including corporate and subsidiary operations is preferred
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SAP ERP strongly preferred
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will partner with Global Controlling teammates and operational business partners to ensure the design and transformation of internal controls within NIKE’s inventory and supply chain environment is compliant with NIKE’s policy and SOX requirements
You will lead and partner cross functionally to deliver large-scale, significant initiatives related to NIKE’s global supply chain
You will partner with the Global Information Technology Compliance team to ensure Information Technology General Controls are established over systems within the supply chain environment
You will communicate accounting and control risks, considerations and conclusions to a diverse audience
You will navigate ambiguous and continuously evolving business landscapes, organizations, and associated strategies to evaluate and conclude on accounting considerations
