WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
At J30 greenfield logistics facility launch project, PMO plays a critical role to foster collaboration across the value chain. As a PMO Manager in J30 project this role will play a significant role in supporting that vision.
This role will report to the Japan Supply Chain Senior Director and J30 Program Director, partnering with cross-functional teams in Nike Japan, Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA), Global, external consultants, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. You will act as a liaison between local project teams, logistics operations, global centers of excellence, tech teams, and local vendors, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), system, and real estate developers.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role seeks a business professional with a proven track record in project management, ideally with experience in Lean methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills in both Japanese and English, and the ability to facilitate and present to diverse audiences, including senior leaders and executives. Experience in distribution center (DC) operations and transitions is preferred, as is a background in consulting.
Minimum 5 to 6 years of relevant work experience
Bachelor’s or/and Master’s degree (Master’s preferred but not required)
Strong oral and written communication skills (in both Japanese & English) including presentation and group discussion facilitation
Experience planning and leading large cross-functional workshops preferred
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizational levels
Strategic mindset paired with strong attention to detail
Comfortable navigating ambiguity in dynamic environments
Strong logistics acumen, with emphasis on DC operations and launch execution
Consulting experience preferred, though not required
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of program management within the J30 project, including planning, supervising, and delivering a successful facility launch and transition from existing facilities.
Core Responsibilities includes,
Provide planning and accountability for timely delivery of objectives (system, MHE, process implementation)
Recognize opportunities to improve team performance
Ensure quality and consistency of team execution against project initiatives
Perform detailed business analysis to identify root causes for progress gaps and issues
Act as a liaison between various internal and external teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success
Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders
