WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll be the planning point person for Jordan product line in the WHQ office and collaborate regularly with a variety of groups and individuals, including (but not limited to): sales, merchandising, planning, marketplace teams, brand, as well as various external contributors and leaders. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our WHQ-based Demand & Supply Management (DSM) team is looking for a Lead Assortment Planner focused on optimizing the Jordan Brand business with our Marketplace Partners. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in bringing Jordan Brand’s marketplace vision to life with specific focus on pre-season forecasting, reacting to in-season trends and results analysis. You will establish clear financial plans while partnering with cross functional teammates to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer demand. Strong collaboration is a key, working both internally with Jordan/Nike and externally with Partner Accounts. As a Lead Planner, you’ll bring curiosity, a self-starter mentality, influential communication skills, and a strong ability to operate in ambiguous situations. You’ll have phenomenal data storytelling abilities grounded in retail acumen, planning expertise and supported through elevated excel capabilities.
You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
4+ years experience in Planning/Buying/Sales with emphasis on retail/wholesale financial planning and analysis
Proven ability to leverage large amounts of data, identify critical information, analyze, and potentially create new ways of working to develop a recommendation
Strong ability to influence through compelling communication.
Able to think critically and understand the potential of a product in the marketplace while identifying gaps to tops-down and bottoms-up financial plan
Advanced Excel skills
Travel up to 15% of the time
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
On any given day you might be developing style-level plans to inform financial plans that will fuel assortments and influence buy and supply decisions while partnering with key stakeholders. You’ll also continuously monitor performance indicators keeping a pulse on the business: analyzing sales results, managing key product forecasts, in season recommendations and sharing actionable insights on risks and opportunities. You will create plans that optimize business health while achieving financial targets. You’ll use strong communication skills with internal/external partners to elicit information, cultivate productive dialogue, verbalize ideas, and align financial plans with an overarching strategy. You’ll enable success by collaborating with multiple cross functional internal teammates and external planning counterparts.
