WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Lead Merchant, NA Energy will report directly to the Director of Merchandising Energy. Nike Energy is the team responsible for driving authentic consumer connection to sport culture. We do this through the lens of innovative product concepts, collaboration projects and visionary marketing activations and storytelling. This person will lead and collaborate across global and geo with the End in Mind energy product assortment. This role will lead and influence with a strong consumer first mindset, ensuring every product decision is rooted in culture relevance and marketplace opportunity. This ideal candidate combines merchandising expertise with storytelling, detail orientation, and ability to blend art and science to deliver game changing results. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in merchandising or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience & training.
  • 5+ Years of experience in Merchandising, Product Creation or Sales.
  • Proven ability to set strategic vision and translate consumer and cultural insights into compelling end in mind assortments 
  • Experience monitoring and understanding trends, and applying that understanding to serve the consumer
  • Enterprise mindset with a deep commitment upholding integrity while putting the consumer at the heart of all you do.
  • Collaborative, strong communication skills and a natural problem solver. 
  • Track record of balancing multiple projects, timelines and priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in line planning, assortment strategy and seasonal readiness. 
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, timelines, and ensure seasonal readiness

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you will lead geo needs on Nike Quick Strike, Nike Sportwear Energy and Nike Sport Energy. You will lead and influence lifestyle icons such as AF1, Air Max to key seasonal Performance products along with future white spaces yet to be defined within footwear and apparel; these will be the most coveted products within our portfolio. You will also be responsible for the growth and enterprise thinking. You will also collaborate with Global merchandising, sales, business integrations, planning and brand marketing from line planning through handoff to the marketplace teams. In addition to your responsibilities around merchandising and line planning, you will also be accountable for mentoring junior merchants and integrating Energy within the Sport Offense. A strong candidate will bring the following skills:
