WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Reporting into the Sportswear Footwear Channel Merchandising Senior Manager, you will be part of the team leading the Footwear Assortment strategy for Athletic Specialty/Style Specialty Channels. You will partner with the EMEA Nike Sportswear (NSW) Product Merchandising team, EMEA Geo Express Lane (GEL) and EMEA Sales teams across Channel and Accounts to deliver and help land best in class, industry leading product assortments.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is a strategic, consumer-obsessed merchant, able to lead projects and strategies end to end. They bring clear and effective communication, compelling storytelling skills as well as strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities. The individual will have extensive merchandising experience and be able to demonstrate a deep knowledge of the EMEA Sportswear consumer and marketplace and how to create differentiation across channels of distribution. A successful Lead Merchant will also be self‑driven, curious, and bring a positive and resilient mindset, able to adapt within fast changing & dynamic environments.
Requirements:
An extensive level of Merchandising, Buying and or Sales experience, to be able to demonstrate a high level of business, retail and merchandising acumen. Footwear experience is a plus.
Account facing experience, paired with strong negotiation and influencing skills
A consumerist mindset with strong product knowledge and clear understanding of the total EMEA marketplace, able to influence future product strategies.
A proven track record of delivering results and driving clear and distinct strategies, with both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent storytelling and product expertise, along with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, inclusive in front of large audience
A solution oriented approach coupled with an innovative future thinking mindset, always eager to try, test new strategies.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will lead the strategy and creation of channel-tier product assortments for Athletic Specialty and Style Specialty channels across EMEA, ensuring to drive meaningful segmentation across channels. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to translate marketplace insights into actionable strategies. You will also share consumer, marketplace & capacity insights with NSW Product Merch partners to influence future line plans while partnering with NSW Channel Sales and NSW Account Sales teams to land the seasonal vision throughout the CODE process.
Core responsibilities of the role:
Create Channel relevant assortment frameworks, with a sharp focus on how to bring channel segmentation and distinction to life in the marketplace, while ensuring clarity, scale, and profitability.
Identify marketplace insights that help inform and drive future line planning with EMEA NSW Product Merchandising & EMEA Geo Express Lane (GEL) counterparts.
Partner with Sales channel and account counterparts to drive the Elevated Product Proposition with our key Partners.
Deliver compelling product presentations to internal and external stakeholders, bringing the vision to life through clear communication and storytelling,
Manage multiple seasonal workstream and priorities, delivering results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
