WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of the Apparel product management team. You will work closely with your apparel cross functional team, including design, development, sourcing, costing, operations. You will also partner with various Nike functions outside of your direct team with a continuous collaboration with our consumer merchandising team to align on marketplace positioning and geo insights/franchise health. You will also collaborate with our wholesale partners across EMEA as well as be in contact with the Nike Direct merchandising team. Some projects will also involve collaborating with Nike key city teams and sports marketing partners.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal Lead Product Line Manager is a team member with a proven track record of excellence in apparel product creation and a highly collaborative mindset.
This individual has a clear passion for and understanding of the EMEA consumer. Passion for the on and off pitch culture of football will be particularly appreciated as this will be in scope for the key projects of this PLM role.
Strong organizational skills, crafting outstanding product briefs, and the ability to learn and adapt swiftly are essential. Problem-solving skills and attention to details are other requirements that will make this individual excel in the role.
We seek someone with experience effectively partnering with diverse teams to create products and who demonstrates advanced communication and presentation skills.
This individual should be able to work well in ambiguity, can evolve and refine the operating model they work within, and can lead a cross-functional team in the creation of product in a fast-paced environment.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Apparel product management or product merchandising.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
Great understanding and experience of the apparel product creation process.
Strong analytical skills.
Passion for the apparel industry with a performance, sportwear and/ or fashion lens.
Consumer expertise: EMEA consumer, lifestyle apparel trends.
Affinity or interest for the football obsessed consumer, football as a sport and in particular the culture that surrounds it.
Expert knowledge of the EMEA retail landscape and wholesale partners.
Exceptional time management with a proven ability to manage multiple work streams.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, fast learner using new tools.
The following experiences would be a plus: work on football products (performance or lifestyle) Partnership with football clubs, external collaborators, work on energy products.
Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively.
An inquisitive mind, proactive information-seeking skills, and a drive for results.
Strong presentation skills with the confidence to lead and influence peers and senior stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Develop & leverage responsive capabilities & consumer connection to create incremental product opportunities that keeps Nike at the forefront of trends in EMEA.
Lead and conduct consumer and marketplace insights research.
Monitor product performance (bookings and sell-through)
Translate consumer insights into meaningful and impactful briefs for design.
This role will have a focus on the on and off pitch of football culture and aim at serving the consumer who lives and breathe football wherever they live in EMEA.
Overseeing all aspects of the product creation process in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, from line planning to sell-in.
Ensuring profitability while delivering impactful apparel executions tailored to the needs of our EMEA consumer.
You will collaborate with Nike's cross-functional teams including Design, Development, sourcing and costing to ensure alignment and drive initiatives.
Managing creation workflow and data, creating, maintaining, and delivering product tools.
Interview Process: Candidates invited to second round of interview will be requested to present a case study to assess their functional skills and understanding of the Nike EMEA consumer.
