WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for a Lead Product Line Manager for our Olympics/Growth Sports apparel business.
In this role, you will lead all facets of the apparel product creation process across a broad spectrum of consumers and athletes in our Olympics/Growth Sports organization. As Lead PLM, you will be skilled in leading a cross-functional team, creating effective line plans, and bringing an entrepreneurial approach to new and existing sports, alike. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and experience working with a wide aray of athletes and teams. This role is both strategic and tactical…requiring short term problem-solving skills and long term planning. Additionally, this role will involve cross functional leadership to help drive best in class product to both our athletes and the marketplace.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
If this is you, you’ll be working daily with our design, development, and merchandising teams, across multiple disciplines, to create compelling product collections seasonally across sport’s biggest moments. You will be the leader of the team, keeping projects on task and communicating regularly to both internal and external partners. You will collaborate with team members to develop line plans, execute product creation strategies, and track overall product performance for some of our most high-profile Nike Sport Apparel product collections. You will also work with other product teams at Nike to land key innovations and product priorities each season.
You will work closely with your triad team each week to deliver on product creation calendar timelines, including product briefs, line planning, design reviews, merchandising plan, and marketplace distribution for multiple projects. You will also work closely with our marketing partners to help craft product strategy and bring the product to life in the marketplace.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will be reporting directly to the Director of Product for Olympics and Growth sports, reporting into the Nike Sport Apparel leadership team. You will work closely with other PLM’s and Product Directors on the team. In addition to working with your triad to execute product, you will work with materials/trims teams, planning, sourcing, and finance along the product journey. You will work closely with geography teams to gather insights on new sport priorities and will spend time with consumers globally.
WHAT YOU BRING
3-5 years of experience in apparel product-related role
Bachelor’s degree
Strong product creation skills
Creativity and passion for sport, apparel product, and style
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Business acumen & strong analytical mind
Deep understanding of apparel product construction and sourcing process
Able to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships
Attention to detail and deadlines
Solutions-oriented as both a leader and individual contributor
Necessary Skills/Tools: Visual Tool Creation (Powerpoint/Keynote/Miro), Excel, Retail Math, Smartsheets
