WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a Lead Product Line Manager, this individual will partner with a broader North America Local Creation team inclusive of Design and Development, while also closely collaborating with Global Product and Merchandising partners to help drive franchise health and marketplace relevance. This role is primarily focused on Nike Sportswear (NSW), with potential to extend across Performance Run and Kids.
You will engage closely with North America Local Creation Apparel counterparts and the broader North America Nike Geo community, and report directly into the Senior Manager of Product Line Management, NA Local Creation.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Lead Product Line Manager who will serve as an individual contributor within the North America Local Creation Footwear product creation team – bringing a positive mindset, strong point of view, and the ability to connect and align teams to move product and process forward.
This role requires someone who can drive key facets of the product creation process and translate consumer and marketplace insights into clear, compelling product briefs that serve North America consumer needs. You should be comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity, able to evolve ways of working, and confident leading cross-functional partners through decision-making.
We are seeking a strong consumer advocate with a passion for product, fashion, color, and style, and bring the communication and influencing skills needed to create alignment across diverse teams. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to help create and drive an efficient process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in product creation, product management, merchandising, or related fields
- Robust business acumen and strategic decision-making rooted in deep consumer and marketplace understanding
- Strong product point of view with an understanding of footwear construction and product storytelling
- Ability to translate vision and insights into compelling consumer-led concepts and product solutions
- Refined style sensibility and curiosity to continuously learn about consumers, trends, and opportunities
- Proven ability to capture and articulate consumer insights and influence product direction
- Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders and external partners
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple timelines
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills across diverse teams
- Ability to travel up to 15-20%
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Lead Product Line Manager for North America Local Creation Footwear, this individual will focus on creating inspiring product on a faster timeline to serve consumers specifically in the North America marketplace. They will be responsible for the product creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned models, leading to on-time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specifications, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.
This individual will deeply understand the NSW consumer in the North America geography and apply those insights to create distinctive, coveted product that solves real consumer needs. This includes balancing innovative thinking and freshness with commercial realities and franchise health.
