WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Lead Professional, Corporate Communications, GC brings strong expertise in communications, with a social-first mindset and proven experience in content planning and campaign development across digital platforms.
This role goes beyond traditional Corporate Communications. It acts as a critical narrative curator — translating business strategy and progress into clear, culturally relevant, and engaging storytelling that resonates with mass audiences and drives real influence.
At the same time, this role plays a key part in reputation management, proactively identifying risks and shaping external narratives in an increasingly complex and fast-evolving media environment.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong strategic thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to turn insights into impactful, audience-first communication plans. They are a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards in execution and stakeholder engagement.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in social media content planning and campaign development, with specific cases that demonstrate strong engagement and cultural impact
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field
- Strong experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and messaging skills in both Chinese and English, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, relatable language for broad audiences
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end and effectively influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of China’s media landscape, with a strong network across both corporate and emerging/social media ecosystems
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
This is not a traditional Corporate Communications role. We are intentionally looking for talent who can operate at the intersection of social media, content, and culture, shaping Nike’s narrative in China through compelling storytelling, social engagement, and proactive reputation management.
The candidate should be able to:
- Think beyond press releases and media relations, focusing on how stories are created, adapted, and amplified across social platforms
- Translate business strategy and progress into credible narratives and culturally relevant, socially native content that people want to read, watch, and share
- Develop ideas and campaigns that can break through niche audiences and enter broader public conversation
- Apply a strong understanding of platform mechanics, trends, and audience behavior to maximize reach and engagement
- Measure success based on influence, engagement, and real impact, rather than traditional media coverage alone
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure narratives are integrated and activated across channels
