WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Lead Professional, Multimedia should understand brand creative, media relations, publishing and the content creator landscape – and how creators are using assets from brands like NIKE, Inc. to build their own content. The candidate should have experience across multiple types of content creation, with preference for a technically advanced, curious videographer with the ability to capture, edit and elevate footage into a dynamic, engaging and narrative-driven story.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

This role is crucial to supporting Nike’s reputation as one of the world’s best multimedia storytellers. You’ll work on a variety of creative projects to support the Global Communications function and the specific needs of the One Publishing Team, with an emphasis on photography. You’ll make complex ideas and information simple, visual and consumable. Your work will provide a behind-the-scenes look at NIKE, Inc. — our athletes, our products, our creation processes, our supply chain, etc. – and show what makes this place so special.

Your role helps shape the future of storytelling at Nike, with a focus on multimedia content as part of Communications-driven projects. You will accomplish this through:

  • Scouting, shooting and editing editorial, documentary and lifestyle photography for use across internal and external Communications-owned channels and with media and content creators

  • Capturing in studio product images and portraits – and working with external photographers when additional expertise is needed

  • Working with wire service photographers

  • Exploring how to use graphics, type, data, illustrations, etc. to enhance NIKE, Inc. storytelling

  • Partnering with editorial teammates on One Publishing to create and manage video and photo content capture plans to share the story of Nike-only moments with internal and external audiences through our Communications-owned channels

  • Creating assets that help our audiences (e.g., media, content creators, employees) tell the story of NIKE, Inc.

  • Seeking inspiration through research, in-person experiences, network-building, trend and insights analysis, etc., in service of developing more compelling storytelling

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The One Publishing Team sits within Global Communications, where the team obsesses great Nike storytelling, both internally and externally. The team seeks disruption, values dexterity, displays initiative and elevates the thinking of the Global Communications team in service of industry-defining creativity.

The role will report into the Creative Director, One Publishing, and will work closely with the other members of the One Publishing Team who span editorial, creative and platform management. It will also partner with members of the larger Global Communications Team and build relationships with the Global Brand Marketing Team. 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years professional experience in graphic design or creative roles, with preference for candidates who have experience working large national or global organizations.

  • Bachelor's degree in design, communications, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • Expertise in the following: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Keynote and Figma

  • High proficiency in photo retouching and editing

  • A keen eye for typography, editorial layout and design

  • Strong knowledge of latest design trends and the best work across our industry and beyond
