WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Golf SM Apparel Field Rep will support the overall golf strategy by serving as the apparel expert and providing exceptional service to all Nike contracted athletes. This person will work closely with the other Field Representatives on the team and be the liaison between the SM team, Athlete, and the golf business as it relates to apparel. This role reports to the Global Field Operations Director.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike SM is looking for someone who wants to think, dream, create, and win.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about sport and will put the athlete at the center of everything we do.   As part of the Global Golf Sports Marketing team, the Apparel Field Representative is the voice of the athlete when it comes to Apparel.  This person will focus on delivering best-in-class service, which will require high level organizational skills along with the ability to clearly and accurately communicate athlete insights to members of the product development teams.  The Apparel Field Representative must possess strong relationship skills to develop the trust and respect of the athlete. 

  • Effective Communicator; both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities, flexible hours, & willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Strong relationship skills with golf knowledge
  • Order entry skills and Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • 5+ years combined experience of Sports Marketing, Sports Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Retail Sales and/or Product Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing, Brand Marketing, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In the role, you will be responsible for both on-course and off-course product service to our portfolio Nike athletes.  Along with this service to the athletes, you will be responsible for supporting brand experience activations, athlete photo shoots, and various other athlete needs throughout the year.  Building world class relationships will be crucial to the success of the role and you will be responsible for cultivating these relationships with the athletes as well as with their support teams.

  • Gather apparel insight to service golf athletes and facilitate transitions
  • Organize product meetings seasonally with athletes & lead athlete scripting approvals
  • Collaborate with apparel teams to script and support athletes during key golf and branded moments
  • Plan/Forecast/Execute on-course/off course seasonal buys for promo and non-promo apparel, belts, and headwear, etc.
  • Field travel to tour events/photo shoots, & apparel product testing sessions
  • Assist the golf SM team executing hospitality experiences
  • Assist athlete gifting opportunities
