WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be joining the EMEA Controlling function and will be reporting to the Revenue Accounting Director based at NIKE's EMEA Headquarters (EHQ) in the Netherlands. You will work closely with the other leads and senior accountants of the Revenue Accounting team. You will support the broader Controlling community and partner with Sales, O2C, Finance Planning and Global Controlling to deliver complete and accurate financials and meaningful insights that will help NIKE achieve its improving value to athletes and shareholders.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking an experienced accountant with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting—someone who combines technical excellence with a genuine passion for the brand. In this role, you will play a key part in driving accuracy and excellence across our EMEA Revenue Accounting processes.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of US GAAP, thrives in a dynamic environment, and communicates complex information in a clear and compelling way. You are naturally curious, comfortable navigating change, and motivated to elevate processes. Your analytical mindset helps you “connect the dots” across data sources, while your collaborative approach enables strong partnerships across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
  • Strong, relevant experience in accounting or finance (Big 4 experience is a plus)
  • Prior experience managing offshore teams
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and external audit requirements
  • Revenue Accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of Revenue Accounting activities within EMEA:

• You will lead the team’s monthly close process activities, such as the preparation, review, and/or approval of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX controls

• You perform reviews during the month-end close process, working directly with the wider controlling function as well as the business to ensure key financial assertions are met.

• You evaluate and review the efficiency of controls and processes and recommend improvements; demonstrate your SOX knowledge to safeguard a robust control environment.

• You will be a key member of process standardization, automation, and simplification initiatives and will assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes which will lead to presenting and implementing improvements.

•  You will serve as the point of contact for business partners and the Managed Service Provider (MSP) for accounting inquiries and will coordinate related tasks and results.

• You will inform and lead multiple projects while adjusting key learnings to a wide variety of audiences.

• You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to elevate the Marketplace Controlling platform and be a trusted business partner in all areas of the business.

• You will gain market insights and develop an understanding of the business both strategically and operationally and apply that knowledge to our accounting practices.
