WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Lead Sales Rep for select retail partners in New York City and the Northeast Territory. This role will serve as Jordan Brand’s key business liaison on the ground in New York City. The candidate we’re looking for needs to be able to multi-task, be well organized and relationship-oriented. This candidate must also possess the ability to analyze wholesale and retail business results, develop engaging presentations and build meaningful relationships with key retailers and community partners. A functional knowledge and understanding of sneaker culture is a plus as well as familiarity of the New York City marketplace.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working with a cross-functional team across Sales, Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, and Operations. You’ll also serve as the lead point of contact for Jordan Brand in New York and select partners in the East Territory. You will manage account-facing partner engagement, lead day to day showroom operations and logistics, as well as coach and develop local talent interested in future marketplace careers.
A typical day/week looks like:
Develop strategic plans with partners - Drive discussions with partners on strategic positioning in the marketplace, community impact, and growth plans.
Accountability – deliver against financial targets for multiple partners
Relationship – serve as Jordan’s primary point of contact within designated marketplace
Pre-season – create assortment and sell-in strategy, develop financial forecast for total portfolio, execute partner engagement meetings
In-season – pursue in-season at-once orders, track sales trends, provide marketplace insights, ensure MAP compliance, and manage marketplace health
Operational – ensure orders are entered fully and on time, develop solutions for late or canceled orders
Marketing – Help facilitate any additional brand marketing events with specific product launches
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, you will work with Jordan Planners, Jordan Sport Sales Leads, Marketplace Merchants, and Brand Managers. In addition to Jordan teammates, you will work with retail account buyers, planners and leadership teams. You will have the opportunity to champion grassroots initiatives with accounts to deepen our connection within the community.
WHAT YOU BRING
5-7 years of experience in Sales or Marketing
Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. which may include samples and sales materials
Experience in community programming is a plus
Any country-specific items required by local laws (check with your local legal partners)
Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
