Sourcing Lead – Nike Sportwear, Energy and Nike Value Store

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

In this role, you will be part of the Sport Sourcing Team, reporting to the Nike Sportwear Director. You will partner daily with Sportwear Product Management, Development and Design. Throughout the season you will also collaborate frequently with multiple partners including the Seasonal Sourcing & Capacity Management team, Long-Range Sourcing Team, Planning teams (Supply/Demand/Materials), Finance and Manufacturing teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As Sourcing Lead for Nike Sportwear, we’re looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial person to manage key elements of our sourcing, costing and Sportwear business process and strategy, supporting consumer-right product and profitability. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, bring multiple stakeholders together, embraces change, and thrives in a cross-functional environment. This individual should be able to work well in ambiguity, can evolve and refine the operating model they work within. Ability to influence, collaborate, and create consensus is a must.  This candidate will have Project Management experience.

The candidate needs:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • 6+ years’ experience in Sourcing, Planning, Operations Management, Product Creation or Manufacturing.

  • Manufacturing and/or Sourcing experience, across an outsourced manufacturing base. Specific knowledge in the Apparel and Accessories (textile, trims, packaging, garment) manufacturing and supply chain is preferred. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a great attention to detail

  • Strong strategic vision and ability to think differently.

  • Self-starter with a proven track record of displaying strong business acumen.

  • Demonstrated collaboration and cross-functional influencing skills.

  • Proven ability to lead projects and document processes.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role you will plan and manage the factory source assignment for a portion of Nike Sportwear and the key suppliers manufacturing these products. You’ll create both the in-season and mid-term sourcing plan for a portion of Sportwear. You will drive profitability by defining the style level financial targets in partnership with Finance and work with the cross-functional team’s to create processes and operational ways of working.

The role entails:

  • Creating and executing the sourcing strategy through close collaboration with Product, Development, and Design teams

  • Managing the seasonal cost planning process to ensure profitability

  • Contributes to development of Sourcing and Costing business processes, projects and operating models

  • Global sourcing process from strategic sourcing to seasonal execution

  • Proxy for NSW Director in key meetings
