WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this role you will be contributing to a comprehensive sourcing strategy. You will be reporting to a director and helping manage sourcing strategies over multiple horizons and complexities. Your work is highly collaborative and will include scenario planning, analyzing tradeoffs and optimization opportunities, standardizing business processes, and creating the future of Nike Footwear Sourcing.This work is not done in a silo! You will be closely collaborating across the Sourcing team, Supply Planning, Product Development, internal analytics teams, and counterparts in Asia. This is an individual contributor position.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Lead, Sourcing Manager in Footwear Strategic Sourcing team, who is passionate about building for the future of footwear sourcing with out-of-the-box thinking and strategic vision. You will manage long range capacity planning workstreams and drive strategy shifts and alignments with cross-functional teams and factory partners.
You are comfortable with ambiguity and work effectively cross functional teams. You are an effective communicator and collaborator to drive clarity and alignment to achieve a shared vision, skillfully resolve and manage conflicting priorities and interests. You will bring a self-starter attitude that is excited to work on process improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
7+ years’ work experience in supply chain or related capacity in a manufacturing, trading, or consumer goods industry
3 years’ additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Strategic thinker with an enterprise mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing demands.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and generate effective solutions.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, demonstrating self-motivation, urgency, and accountability.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of driving collaboration across multiple functional teams.
Experienced in data automation and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to enhance analytics and reporting.
Proficient in using metrics to drive continuous improvement and process automation
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In this role, you will collaborate with multiple internal cross functional teams & external manufacturing factory partners to ensure sourcing strategy and plans are created, aligned and executed to enable the footwear products to be made and delivered to the consumer, with a sharp focus on Consumer X Field Of Play sourcing strategy. You will also provide sourcing expertise to ensure the critical cross functional projects to be effectively sourced and implemented. In addition, you will be assigned to drive continuous sourcing process improvements.
The role entails:
Create Long Range Capacity Plan, focusing on Consumer X Field Of Play level insights and alignment.
Utilize data and reporting tools to gather insights and visuals to illustrate strategy.
Facilitate critical and strategic conversations between Product Development team, product sourcing team, and other cross functional teams.
Be on point as project lead for sourcing process improvements.
Serve as an effective bridge between strategy and execution in the end of end sourcing process.
