WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The SRM Manager is a member of Procurement’s Innovation and Operations team, and reports to the Procurement Director of Supplier Management and Risk. In the role, the individual will work closely with Category Teams within Procurement, Vendor Management Teams across Nike, and Nike teammates throughout the business to bring standards and best practices in Supplier Relationship Management into usage for Nike’s 3rd Party Indirect supplier base. Additionally, the individual will work with other Procurement and Supplier functions to incorporate SRM-centric processes and practices into Supplier Management system integrations. Lastly, the role will partner with other supporting partners including Finance, Legal, and Technology in service of holistic SRM strategies.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a results-oriented Program Manager for NIKE’s Global Procurement’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Team who can help elevate the current strategies, standards, and best practices in SRM to the next level for NIKE’s 3rd party indirect supplier base - as part of a holistic Global Procurement transformation effort.
Key efforts will include owning the central SRM Governance methodology to partner with both global and geo Nike stakeholders (within and external to Procurement) in executing and driving adoption of SRM governance activities, improving Nike’s supplier onboarding and offboarding processes, investigating and ideating the use of AI within the SRM space, and developing value-enhancing processes for Nike’s 3rd Party Indirect Suppliers set.
The candidate will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience, with specific experience in Supplier Relationship Management and/or Source-to-Pay efforts
Working knowledge of typical Procurement platforms (Aravo, Coupa, etc) strongly preferred
Intellectual curiosity and a ‘what if’ mindset
Experience working in complex matrix environments
Ability to adapt quickly and work on an international basis in mixed teams
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, and ability to partner with senior executives and their teams
Proficiency with Microsoft applications: including advanced level Word and Excel; intermediate level PowerPoint
A strong desire to make a real, bottom-line difference for Nike and our internal stakeholders
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You'll work to identify key business stakeholders across these types of efforts, collaborate and build consensus with them, and advise and influence (where appropriate) across Nike, Inc. In addition, you'll assist in bringing procurement operational excellence within the end-to-end Source to Pay process.
Major Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Manage and Partner on key SRM activities (reviews, etc) for a portfolio of key Strategic Suppliers
Collaborate with business stakeholders (within Procurement and across broader Nike) to achieve targets, improve supplier performance, maximize supplier collaboration and innovation, etc.
Identify opportunities within the Source-to-Pay ecosystem to improve Nike’s supplier onboarding and offboarding processes
Investigate opportunities and begin to develop a perspective on leveraging AI within SRM and Risk for 3rd Party Indirect Suppliers
Support the Director in efforts to advance and evolve Procurement’s and Nike’s efforts in these areas – identifying where Best In Class is needed vs Progress over Perfection
Interact with your Geo Procurement team counterparts to guide efforts from the center
Guide, support and mentor procurement colleagues and train any assigned direct or indirect reports on strategic sourcing concepts and implement sourcing leading practices
