WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Location Planner will be a key team player in the Location Planning Team as well as the broader planning team within Nike Direct Stores. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders from field and planning functions to develop store specific plans store to drive store performance, optimise revenue, inform product distribution, elevate margin and guide inventory levels. The role reports to Manager, Location planning EMEA.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a Location Planner are responsible for planning and owning a weekly store level in-season targets to support Strategy Growth plans and drive store performance, optimise revenue, inform product distribution, elevate margin and guide inventory levels. You will use marketplace insights to develop the plan so that every store is best positioned to deliver both the longer-term commercial strategies and the optimal in-season performance. You will be responsible for creating, owning and communicating these credible store level plans cross functionally as well as looking for ways to drive improvements and efficiencies within the team to support and drive business growth and cross functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the below criteria;
Experience in planning for Demand, Retail, Merchandise, Operations, Finance, Analytics or Sales.
Understanding of key metrics behind consumer demand, retail math’s, financial planning, and reporting
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage efficiently with a broad range of crossfunctional audienced.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to manage dynamic planning cycles within Nike Stores Team
Independent mentality to seek & drive process efficiencies.
Ability to network, utilize internal and external resources, deliver commitments, and to meet timelines
Strong knowlege of planning systems, MS Excel. IBM Analytics & statistical forecasting knowledge is a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Provide credible short & mid-range store-level sales and KPIs forecasts for portfolio of Nike owned stores.
Create store revenue forecasts by capturing relevant local market insights and trends.
Analyze weekly business trends, driving clarity on results and proactively escalating risks and opportunities.
Partner with crossfunctional stakeholders on revenue & KPI plans for specific stores, accurately planning demand in the marketplace.
Re-forecast weekly & monthly to determine regional specific actions to support sales and inventory management
Connect and communicate professionally with Retail Directors to create strong strategic and collaborative relationships to drive accuracy & efficiency in store plans.
Take ownership on improving Location Planning processes: bringing improvements and efficiency to the current model to ensure right levels of service are provided for stores.
