Nike Canada Merchandising shapes product strategy for the Canadian consumer—translating North America (NA GEO) direction into clear priorities and strong execution across sport, digital, and value.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will work closely with:
- Business Integration, Principal – Nike Canada
- NA Merchandising Business Integration team members
- Canada Product and Consumer Merchandising leaders
- Lead Buying Assistants (direct reports)
- GTM, Marketplace, Sales, and Marketing Operations partners
This role represents the Canadian marketplace within NA GEO forums and cross‑functional decision moments.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a strong people leader and integrator who brings clarity to complexity and enables teams to operate as one.
The ideal candidate is comfortable leading people, facilitating cross‑functional processes, and driving consistency across seasonal merchandising rhythms within a Territory‑to‑GEO (NA) operating model.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Lead Canada Merchandising operating rhythms across CODE, including Line Planning, Assortment Creation, Pricing, Sample Adoption, and GTM readiness.
- Facilitate the Canada Pricing process, guiding Lead Merchants to develop and execute category‑level pricing decisions.
- Facilitate the Canada Sample Adoption process, working closely with Lead Merchants on sample selection decisions.
- Ensure Pricing and Sample Adoption are embedded upstream in Line Planning and Assortment Creation.
- Partner with NA GEO teams to align to frameworks while representing Canada marketplace needs.
- Lead, coach, and develop two Lead Buying Assistants, (TBC not yet approved) setting clear priorities and standards for support work.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Sales and Marketing Operations to enable strong marketplace execution.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven experience as a People Manager leading and developing talent
- Strong understanding of Merchandising Operations and CODE seasonal retail rhythms
- Experience facilitating complex, cross‑functional processes
- Comfort working within a Territory‑to‑GEO (NA) operating model
- Strong communication, prioritization, and change‑leadership skills
- Bias toward clarity, simplification, and action
The annual base compensation for this position generally ranges from $102,400 - $152,400 CAD/annually. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
