The annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,700.00 in our lowest geographic market to $258,400.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.Information about benefits can be found here.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a seasoned Digital User Experience Strategy Manager to join our digital team.
The UX Strategy Manager is responsible for defining the areas of opportunity for our Converse.com owned websites in North America, Western Europe, and Greater China and serves as our UX strategy team leader, ensuring our business priorities, user needs, and our tech capabilities are aligned to support existing initiatives and future planning.
This key leadership position has broad responsibilities including overall strategic direction, hands-on responsibilities and mentorship of UX strategy team members. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a visionary aptitude for creating simple, beautiful and useable experiences across multiple phases of a digital product lifecycle while developing and leading a high-performance global UX strategy team.
You will lead innovative problem solving, collaborative team environments, and demonstrate skills and strategy to design multiple projects of differing size and scope. You are driven by curiosity and passionate about user-centered experience design and able to handle both high-level vision and detail-focused execution. You will also have knack for leading teams in design thinking workshops and decipher insights that lead to great design work.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Mentoring and building an engaged team environment
- Develop insights, strategies and concepts for user-facing experiences on Converse.com (both new feature development & customer journey creation), that are grounded in research and data.
- Expert in articulating complex customer and business needs in easy-to-understand concept expressions and presentations, which are presented to the organization
- Recognize the value of experiences that can be measured, demonstrate an aptitude for quality and excellence, and have a passion for creating seamless and consistent experiences
- Demonstrate proficiency in user research, user-centered design methods, and excellent analytical problem-solving skills, leveraging all available data sources to understand, establish and communicate the objectives, opportunities, and the high-level vision for all assigned projects.
- Contribute to the creation of net-new features and functionalities to our platform by translating qualitative & quantitative data sources into actionable areas of opportunity, informing project briefs and cross-functional discussions.
- Validate feature sets and functionality against business and user needs
- Establish documentation on completed projects & research studies, informing best practices to our cross-functional teammates
- Be excited about gaining insights from our users, designing clever ways to understand what makes them tick and then working with designers to bring ideas to life
- Be comfortable running concurrent, high profile projects and (with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently)
- Have a keen ability to hindsight all projects, seeking ways to continue to improve our on-site experience and the way that we work
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
- Work closely with your UX Design & Product Team counterparts, to ensure that the initial project & experience strategy developed has carried through to production.
- Plan and conduct stakeholder interviews with key business partners, ensuring proper inputs are considered for each assigned project, getting to the root of both our business & consumer needs
How you’ll do this:
- Balance Art & Science: Understand how to bring an experience to life that balances content and commerce with a strong eye on the user journey
- Industry & Competitive Benchmarking: Learning from other brands, experiences & publications to help inform in-flight projects and to help identify future areas of priority.
- Consumer Focused Research: Understanding the true needs and problems facing our consumer to ensure that we are designing solutions that are truly purposeful and impactful.
- Formulating strong UX Roadmaps & Documentation: Experience Roadmaps help to drive an aspirational view of how our consumer will engage with our brand across key touchpoints, while documentation serves to inform the wider Marketplace organization on what we know about our consumer, and how they like to shop. The best way to inform future projects is to be successful in both.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Curious | Experience planning and conducting User Research Studies, including: Usability Testing, moderated & unmoderated User Testing Sessions, Prototype Testing, Focus Groups, etc.
- Open and collaborative | Plan cross-functionally with Content Strategy, SEO, Digital Design, Analytics, Testing & Optimization, Product Management and Development teams to enhance existing, and bring new digital commerce experiences to market. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a cross-discipline environment.
- Multi-Faceted: combining a left-brain approach to data synthesis (quantitative & qualitative) with a right-brained ability to apply these learnings to develop new experience solutions for users on our website.
- Ego-less | We all wear all the hats that need wearing – from high level thinking to in-the-trenches work, your flexibility, positivity and focus on results makes the team successful.
Additional Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience creating user-centric designs for e-commerce products preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
- A portfolio of work showcasing how content, design & interface work together to create great digital experiences
- Extensive background leading collaboration sessions with various types of experts and those with differing levels of exposure to UX working methodologies
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to digest
