WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role is based in the Nike Busan office and reports to the Director, Partner Cost Engineering and Standards in Korea. The Manager will work closely with Footwear Manufacturing Partners and collaborate cross-functionally with Footwear Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Finance teams. The role partners with Cost and Standards Engineering teams across Korea and other Asia locations to drive seasonal quote management, cost optimization, and standardized costing practices across the footwear supply chain.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is looking for a Manager, Finance Cost and Standards Engineering who is a proactive problem solver and strategic thinker, capable of operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. This leader brings strong footwear costing and manufacturing knowledge, demonstrates high integrity, and is comfortable navigating ambiguity. The ideal candidate fosters collaboration across internal teams and external partners, while driving competitive, sustainable, and standardized costing outcomes. They are equally effective as a people leader and as a subject matter expert, with the ability to influence, communicate clearly, and turn complex costing concepts into actionable insights that support Nike’s profitability and long-term growth.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in footwear engineering, development, manufacturing, or product costing
  • Strong knowledge of footwear construction, manufacturing processes, costing methodologies, and supply chain operations
  • Proven people leadership experience, including recruiting, coaching, and developing cost engineering talent
  • High proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Ability to travel internationally 10–20% of the time. Typical work location is PMO office or 1 of 2 product creation center locations.

 
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will lead and influence strategic costing initiatives to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing costs at scale, leveraging Nike best practices while partnering across teams and with manufacturing partners. You will help translate costing strategy into tangible results that support product briefs and profitability expectations.

  • Lead strategic costing discussions and guide the team to deliver cost optimization results aligned to Nike’s profitability goals
  • Influence Manufacturing Partners throughout all phases of product creation and production to drive cost opportunities
  • Clearly communicate costing strategies and recommendations, using engineering and manufacturing expertise to support product and process improvements
  • Ensure cost breakdown accuracy through comprehensive validation and analysis of both product cost and footwear business operations
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Partners to validate new labor process standards and capture value from modernization initiatives
  • Evolve the Cost and Standards Engineering function by defining new processes and tools that enable competitive, sustainable, and standardized costing across products
