As our Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Merchandising Information Analyst II (or Captain), you'll play a key role within the Consumer x Marketplace Operations Team through accurate input and maintenance of all line plan data, as well as timely communication of all updated information. You'll manage the product line across multiple systems and develop an understanding of the architecture of the line, consumer, marketplace and country construct and assortment process. You’ll also play an elevated role with a focus on leadership, creative problem solving and best practice sharing.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This is the Nike matrix: You will be working first and foremost with Merchants, as well as various cross-functional partners including but not limited to Pricing, Merch Planning, Marketplace Supply Chain and PIA partners.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a highly motivated teammate who is a self-starter, yet skilled at working collaboratively to solve problems. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in and exposure to people management, as you’ll provide input on behalf of others, maintaining a finger on the pulse of the team.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 2+ years' experience in a related field.
- Relevant experience in a Product, Merchandising, Retail Buying is strongly preferred but not required
- Ability to work both independently and in groups, balancing multiple priorities at once to meet tight deadlines
- Experience leading projects and evolving processes
- Open to learning/trying new things, exhibiting information seeking skills with a drive for results
- Effective at communicating to diverse audiences and skilled at translating and relaying information
- Capable of eliciting connection between functions to enable execution
- Experience and comfort in navigating ambiguity
- Possesses analytical skills and experience with quantitative functions
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Captain you're specifically tasked with:
- Thought-partnering, recapping and sharing direction related to new processes and tools
- Acting as the point of contact to answer daily operations questions
- Escalating issues, trouble-shooting and offering ideas/solutions
- Making yourself available to the team for deep dive/follow-up sessions (either smaller team meetings or recurring office hours)
- Mentoring and onboarding new employees
