The Nike Grind team, part of Nike’s Global Sustainability organization, works with Nike’s contracted factories and finished product waste processing operations to reduce Nike’s footwear and apparel waste footprint. When waste is created, we recapture and transform it into Nike Grind, a usable feedstock for new sustainable products.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Reporting to the Nike Grind Business Director, the Nike Grind Business Analyst is responsible for supporting business activities of the Nike Grind program, an intrapreneurial circularity business at Nike. Specifically, the Analyst will support: creating and managing the systems to generate, track, and report on demand and supply for Nike Grind materials; assisting the team to create dynamic reports that landscape and evaluate business opportunities in key external industry sectors and geographies; driving functional reporting excellence to identify, quantify, and evaluate monthly, quarterly and annual usage of Nike Grind’s portfolio of materials alongside key business targets, inclusive of volume, marketplace coverage, circularity KPIs, waste diversion, and profitability.

  • A minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience within Sustainability or Supply Chain Operations

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

  • Leverage advanced analytical capabilities to synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights, crafting compelling narratives that inform circular business strategies and drive measurable impact across Nike Grind initiatives

  • Not required but preferred certification: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) and/or Tableau Desktop Specialist and/or Power BI Certification

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Support Nike Grind team in driving customer relationship management and creating a robust marketplace for post-consumer and post-industrial footwear and apparel waste materials.

  • Manage response triaging from Nike Grind website “Contact Us” feature

  • Coordinate prequalification efforts with targeted customers and partners

  • Support creation of proposals and presentations via data analysis and storytelling with data

  • Support the Lead, Nike Grind Business with demand and supply capacity management of Grind materials

  • Coordinate and provide team visibility to licensee’s quarterly demand forecasts

  • Provide Business Development team visibility to any potential material capacity constraints

  • Support the Lead, Nike Grind Business with 3rd party logistics & freight vendors as needed for the movement of Nike Grind materials

  • Leveraging SmartSheet and Microsoft Excel, collect and analyze Nike Grind customer usage and royalty reports, as well as projected customer demand on a quarterly basis

  • Turn data points into visual charts and graphs to assist with storytelling through data

  • Coordinate with Responsible Supply Chain teams to obtain Tier 1 factory waste projections
