The Western Europe Brand Design team at Converse creates strategic and distinct digital & physical brand experiences to inspire our audience and that are pushing the boundaries. We’re powered by the people of our communities. We’re motivated by our purpose and innovation within the creative world.

Our Brand Design team is made up of a Creative Director, Senior Designer and Creative Producer, we are a small team that do big work and are looking for a teammate to help bring our amazing concepts to life. We are a peoples team, we find it very important that everyone brings their most authentic self, we challenge each other and create a safe space for vulnerability and creativity. We believe that everyone has good ideas, we want to learn from each other and challenge different viewpoints to come up with the best creative solves.

We develop content and storytelling that supports our Western Europe brand ecosystem. We’re talking everything from campaigns, our social channel, retail, OOH, and much more. Specifically, your role will be focused in the retail & digital/social space and this role would require some experience and passion within this space. As a team, we move Converse forward through compelling brand stories, seasonal commercial stories and custom content across all our Converse channels—sometimes even for the globe. 


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Converse Western Europe Brand Designer, you will work with a team of Designers, Copywriters, Creative Producers, and Strategists. You will partner closely with other teams across the organization and external creative partners to deliver creative experiences that support our business goals. This role reports to the Creative Director, Western Europe Brand Design.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a creative/designer who has strong design skills, digital social forward thinking and passion for the Converse brand. Someone with knowledge and passion for designing for the digital & physical space with an ambitious mindset. Someone who has a positive mindset, is driven, thinks critically, is accountable, can work independent, out of the box thinker, empathetic, resourceful, takes initiative and has strong interpersonal skills. 

We are a go get team and looking for a teammate with a similar mindset as you’ll touch on a lot of different work in short timelines, someone that thinks in solutions and sees work and get after it.

The requirements to be considered for this role are:

  • 2+ years’ experience in designing for larger brands or key creative agency experience specific to the streetwear footwear/apparel industry.

  • Submission of a comprehensive portfolio. Be selective in what you show. We don’t need to see everything that you’ve done in your life. Just your highlights that give a good sense of your skills and design style and taste. Any other design experience is valued aside from work experience.

  • Submission of a cover letter answering the following questions:

- How do you challenge convention with your work and ideas?

- If you would be the CEO of Converse, what would you change?

- What things are you inspired by on a day to day?

- What qualities do you bring to your friendship group?

  • Knowledge and intermediate skills of the Adobe Suite

  • Animation, video editing, photo shop and retouching skills

  • Connection to streetwear culture and trend

  • Understanding of current design trends

  • Good knowledge of digital & physical, brand design, and social media platforms 

  • Strong writing and communications experience in English


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Working under the direction of a Creative Director & Senior Designer, you will create inventive solutions in all aspects of our brand ecosystem, focusing on, but not limited to, digital & physical experiences for our Brand — a mix of graphic/digital design & motion editing skills are required to fulfill these responsibilities 

  • You will help execute and maintain the Converse graphic standards and creative direction in the Converse Western Europe channels

  • You will work with different creative partners to deliver brand right assets for marketing campaigns and seasonal creative.

  • You will have strong communication skills and be encouraged to clearly articulate your own ideas as well to the design team and to wider brand team 

  • Be willing to do things differently to determine the balance between outstanding creative and relevant business needs

  • Opportunities to assist in the art direction and execution of photography, campaign creative and physical & digital experiences

  • Ability to comprehend guidelines, campaigns, brand and category assets and produce effective brand communication for retail and brand.

Als je wordt geselecteerd voor een functie binnen Corporate, neemt een recruiter contact met je op om het sollicitatieproces te starten. Deze recruiter blijft gedurende het hele proces je belangrijkste contactpersoon. Voor functies binnen Retail doe je een interactieve test die bestaat uit een chat en quizzen. Deze test neemt ongeveer 10-20 minuten in beslag. Ongeacht de functie willen we meer te weten komen over jou, dus schroom niet om te laten zien hoe je service van wereldklasse benadert en wat jou uniek maakt.

03 Sollicitatiegesprek

Begin vol zelfvertrouwen aan deze fase door onderzoek te doen, te begrijpen waar we naar op zoek zijn en je voor te bereiden op vragen die zijn bedoeld om meer over jou en je achtergrond te weten te komen.
