Please note: This is an individual contributor/ hybrid role based out of our Nike Canada Downtown Toronto HQ (Mondays to Thursdays on-site and Fridays, remote )

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

We work closely with fellow merchants, buyers and cross-functional teams within Nike Direct, Nike Canada and 3rd Party Partners, Planning, Allocation, SMD’s (Sales Marketplace Directors), Brand Marketing. We also work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors.

You will report to Senior Manager, Digital Buying, Canada.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for consumerists with an affinity for products that enjoys the energy of moving at the pace of retail and the consumer. A successful Lead Buyer will thrive and contribute to a positive and progressive team dynamic, as well as lead in a way that elevates the total team.

This role is responsible for adapting & curating consumer right assortments with end in mind for the Nike Direct Inline Store business by using historical data, analytics and real-time market feedback to advise the future (coming seasons) while winning today (in-season read & react/selling & serving)!

The candidate should possess proven retail competence and analytical abilities, understand retail environments, and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business. They are comfortable leading with and through peers and driving end-to-end strategies with ownership of their respective business unit.  

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing or combination of relevant education and product related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

  • 6+ years' experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment

  • Strong affinity for current market trends and how Nike apparel can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace

  • Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and other KPIs

  • Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will own bringing the seasonal assortment to life in Stores. You will understand related aspects of the business and marketplace in making your plans, including coordinating between genders, brands (Nike & Jordan) and how individual products or collections impact each other. You will collaborate cross functionally to ensure assortment plans meet consumer demand and strategies execute.

You will hone consumer-centric assortment plans across multiple seasons with an understanding of Nike Direct’s position in the market & competitive landscape to blend fact-based and intuitive inputs. You will participate in seasonal buy reviews and in-season trading to influence actions to optimize growth with your critical partners.

Deze test neemt ongeveer 10-20 minuten in beslag. Ongeacht de functie willen we meer te weten komen over jou, dus schroom niet om te laten zien hoe je service van wereldklasse benadert en wat jou uniek maakt.
