The GC Jordan Energy Senior Manager role is mainly responsible for the GC Jordan energy product plan and assortment. The role partners with GC Jordan energy GM, cross functional partners and cross MPU stakeholders to adopt and curate a consumer right product plan, as well as build multi-channel assortments.

A successful Merchandising Senior manager will thrive and contribute to an inclusive, positive, and progressive team dynamic, as well as manage and lead in a way that elevates the total team.
This role is responsible for geo seasonal product adoption, and building consumer right assortments for digital and physical retail concepts, leveraging analytics and more real-time market feedback from streetwear communities, to inform the future (coming seasons) while winning today (trading real-time). Furthermore, this role will be leading the product merchandising strategy for the key consumer Field of Jordan Energy and business dimensions, including apparel, footwear, accessory. This role will also be taking quick reactions to “emerging opportunity” of trends x sports.
The candidate should possess solid retail merchandising acumen and understanding of streetwear community starting with key cities.
They are comfortable overseeing and advising the work of individual contributors within a structured coaching framework, in addition to being a leader among their peers.
What You Will Work On
You will on-board the seasonal plans including product strategy, consumer journey and flow plan around key moments, across sports and local culture. You will understand related aspects of the business and marketplace in making your plans, including coordinating between merch, brand team, planning team and marketplace teams.
You’ll build consumer-centric assortment plans across Nike direct and key partners with an understanding of the channel position in the market, blending fact-based and intuitive inputs. You will participate in seasonal reviews, submits and trading for your respective area. This includes assortment building and submits working with Associate Merchants and system entry. Merchandising senior manager may also lead projects across teams or topics.
You will lead the geo seasonal product adoption, with intelligence on product opportunities from consumer, brand and marketplace.
You will balance multiple seasons and your insights will contribute to future seasonal plans and adoption by supporting Energy GM upstream (25%). You will manage your areas of adoption and assortment planning in depth during the seasonal process (60%) and gather insights from and support optimal trading of in-market seasons (15%)
Who You Will Work With
We work closely with Jordan Energy GM and cross-functional teams within Jordan team, and we also work with cross MPU partners across Nike direct and NSP, in particular with platform teams, sales and business planning.
We may work with operations and the insights and finance teams, depending on business reporting for your area, which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors.
What You Bring
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree or additional 2 years experience in lieu of degree
- 5 years experience in footwear or apparel merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment
- Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product merchandising experience
- Understanding of & affinity for sports, trends and fashion
- Strong command of common retail profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and others
- Command of analytics portals
- Multi-channel, cross concept on & offline experience
- Ability to contribute to and drive thinking into breakthrough strategies
- Ability to demonstrate leadership among peer group, inclusive of coaching and mentoring of teammates.
