WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our Global Strategic Finance team is seeking an experienced Senior Principal to join our team. This candidate will partner closely with Enterprise Strategy, Nike Marketplace, Nike Sport Categories, New Business & Corporate Development, and Investor Relations teams to deliver strategic finance analysis that provides actionable insight to Nike, Inc. This candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity, a self-starter, action-oriented, and results-driven to be successful.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Senior member of the Global Strategic Finance team, you will be an individual contributor, and lead the ideation, evaluation, analysis and execution of cross-functional projects that can unlock long-term marketplace and consumer opportunities. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development. This role will be responsible for driving deep insights and thorough analysis that can shape our business strategy, supports Nike’s vision and growth goals, and can unlock shareholder value creation. This role will blend a strategic mindset with quantitative analyses and financial acumen that will be used to support key decision-making.
You will work closely with senior leaders across the company, from the CEO to functional enterprise teams, ensuring alignment and successful execution of business strategies. This is a high-visibility role where your contributions will shape Nike’s future. Your ability to build relationships, align stakeholders, and lead with influence will be critical to your success.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Synthesize enterprise strategy to identify outsized growth opportunities and the capabilities required to deliver against them
- Create insightful hypotheses and business cases on how specific opportunities might propel the Nike business forward and maintain our competitive advantage
- Identify, execute, and lead key growth opportunities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver against growth initiatives
- Deliver sharp insights and analysis that can shape Nike’s business strategy while also creating value-accretive business models to support the Marketplace growth
- Work collaboratively in a dynamic, diverse team environment to establish trust with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
- Advise senior business leaders and other team members with strategic and financial analysis using a variety of systems and tools, ensuring data quality and accuracy for decision-making; this role requires leadership and cross-functional work across Finance and enterprise-wide teams to deliver timely deliverables and financial insights against high expectations
- Provide financial support and strategic analysis for enterprise-wide teams; be a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of Nike’s financial statements and results
- Establish and maintain strong relationships across business units to identify unique growth opportunities

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years of experience with financial/business analysis and investment banking experience strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- Strong passion for the Nike brand and an understanding of sport and/or sport culture
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence leadership and drive project momentum forward
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once and operate with clarity against quick deliverable dates
- Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills, including ability to productively navigate short-term periods of ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis, with particular emphasis on financial modeling & diligence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with presenting and influencing senior leadership
