WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

At Nike, we don’t just plan for the future - we build it. As a Senior Business Planner in Nike Direct EMEA, you will have the chance to do just that. You will sit at the center of strategy, consumer insights, and commercial execution, helping shape how our Retail business evolves across Stores and Digital Channels through the lens of Sports. This is a role for a big-picture thinker who thrives in complexity, influences with confidence, and likes challenging assumptions with data to turn them into actionable insights.
This position plays a critical role in business planning processes across Sport x Channel within Nike Direct, shaping multi‑season strategies that drive sustainable growth, marketplace health, and strong consumer outcomes. It involves influencing senior stakeholders, driving alignment across diverse teams, connecting demand, supply, inventory, and financial performance in one cohesive story to enable smarter decisions, faster pivots, and stronger marketplace health.
You will operate at the heart of Nike Direct EMEA, partnering closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape the future of our Retail business. Your core collaborators include Nike Direct Planning, Merchandising, Finance, Sports, Nike Stores and Nike Digital teams. You’ll also work closely with Marketplace Supply Chain, Central Business Planning and Supply & Inventory Management teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for bold, high-impact planners who bring clarity to ambiguity and confidence to complexity. You are someone who has:

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong capabilities in Excel, Tableau / Power BI, and planning systems (e.g., SSP, O9)

  • Ability to seamlessly translate demand, supply, and inventory into actionable plans

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, from peers to senior leaders

  • Ability to combine rigorous data with compelling storytelling

  • Confidence presenting insights, trade-offs, and recommendations in leadership forums

  • Experience leveraging forecasting, scenario planning, and data science to elevate decision-making

  • Curiosity to continuously improve planning quality and business outcomes

  • Experience working end‑to‑end in a retail environment

  • Strong understanding of the Nike Direct go‑to‑market process

  • You know how to build trust and relationships across teams and use persuasion and negotiation techniques.

  • You craft compelling narratives, adapt messaging to the audience, and build influence through consistent, value-driven communication.

  • You are open to feedback, acknowledge your mistakes, and continuously aim to raise the bar – for yourself, as well as the team.

  • You demonstrate curiosity about both upstream and downstream impacts.

  • You always seek innovation, and combine quantitative and qualitative inputs to form well-rounded, forward-looking objective recommendations.

  • You actively listen, ask clarifying questions, and use both data and storytelling to drive decisions and alignment.

You have experience in:

  • Planning & scenario management: You have solid previous experience in retail or planning with a strong stock or sales planning, P&L understanding, and KPI knowledge. You anticipate change, know how to balance short-term priorities with long-term strategy, and create reliable plans.

  • Critical thinking & problem solving: You navigate ambiguity with confidence, optimize trade-offs, apply market insights, and challenge assumptions with clear, evidence-based recommendations.

  • Risk assessment & decision-making: You evaluate risks holistically, make fact-based recommendations, and are able to present clear options aligned with business goals.

  • Analytics & data-driven planning: You apply forecasting models, leverage Excel/Power BI /Tableau for visualization, and turn data into actionable insights tied to consumer and financial impact.

  • Consumers & markets: You ground plans in consumer needs and market trends and understand product lifecycle and growth opportunities across seasons and Channels.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will help develop and deliver the multi-season Business Plan for Sport x Channel within Nike Direct, identifying risks and opportunities that drive sustainable, long-term growth. In practice, that means you will:
