WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Principal Benefit Consultant, Asia Pacific (AP)/ Greater China (GC) is critical in shaping and executing the benefit strategy for the AP/GC region, reporting to the Director, International Benefits, and sitting on the International Benefits Leadership Team (LT). This role will partner closely with HR Leadership, Legal, Compliance, Communications, DEI and Operational teams.

This role requires a strategic thinker and skilled communicator, capable of navigating various internal business partners and external vendors, collaborating cross-functionally, and building partnerships to influence positive change. This role will require analytical rigor, critical reasoning, and high-judgement decision making, often working through ambiguity to solve complex problems independently. The scope of this role will require the successful candidate to lead by example as a subject matter expert, providing thought leadership to the International Benefits team and partner teams.
Specifically, the successful candidate should have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
A minimum 10 years’ experience in a benefit related role.
Deep technical expertise across health, risk, financial & well-being focused employee benefits.
A proven track record of forward-planning and execution against strategies, aligned with HR & organizational objectives, ensuring optimized resource use and sustainable growth.
Ability to build strategic relationships and unite stakeholders around clear objectives to drive measurable impact across regions.
Extensive experience navigating cultural, social, and geographical differences throughout the AP/GC region.
Ability to process non-routine data and convey complex information across diverse stakeholders/audiences.
A self-starter mindset, with evidence of consistently initiating and closing complex, large-scale, multi-country/regional projects.
Experience with international regulatory and compliance law.
An awareness of innovation, progressiveness and next generation needs in the benefits space.
Experience managing and negotiating with vendors.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
This role will be responsible for setting the strategic benefit roadmap (1-3 years) for AP/GC as a whole and a select portfolio of countries from the same region. You will be responsible for overseeing project allocation, execution and delivery against objectives. You will have budgetary responsibility for the region, owning process and governance in partnership with the Director, International Benefits.
Additionally, you will:
Drive renewals for your countries.
Regularly monitor and analyze industry trends, identifying growth opportunities.
Develop business cases, socialize with key stakeholders and obtain approval for activation.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with HR stakeholders.
Lead on large-scale, complex projects.
Join the International Benefits Leadership Team (LT), taking shared responsibility for the growth and development of team members, as well as helping to shape the broader International Benefits strategy.
Act as an escalation point for the / region, and act as a proxy for the Director, International Benefits (when required).
