WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will join a highly efficient, result-driven and collaborative Corp Communications team in Beijing. The team partners closely with Brand, Business and Internal communications, as well as cross-functional partners in Government Public Affairs, Legal, Issue Management and Social Community Impact, to deliver world-class communications that uphold Nike’s reputation. You will report to the Sr. Principal of Corp Communications, GC.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a strategic communications leader with creativity, insight and a growth mindset. You are able to embrace change, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and bring a deep understanding of China’s complex media and stakeholder landscape. You are a trust advisor and storytellor who can translate business priorities into compelling narratives that inspire, connect and protect the brand.

 • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

 • Minimum 10+ years in corporate communications, media relations, or brand reputation management, ideally within a global or consumer brand.

 • Deep understanding of the Greater China market, media landscape, and socio-political sensitivities.

 • Proven ability to craft and execute strategic communications with creativity and insight.

 • Demonstrated experience in issue management and crisis communications.

 • Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal).

 • A collaborative, agile leader with a passion for innovation, storytelling, and cross-cultural influence.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As the Principal of GC Corporate Communications, you will lead Nike’s corporate narrative across China’s state, mainstream, and biz media, ensuring the brand’s voice is bold, human, and innovation-driven. You will work in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment where strategic thinking meets creativity.

In this role, you will:

 • Develop Narrative Strategy: Develop a compelling GC “Comeback” narrative that reinforces Nike’s leadership, innovation, and brand voice across corporate communications.

 • Guide Enterprise Storytelling: Partner with key functional teams to drive storytelling that showcases Nike’s innovation, creativity, and brand impact.

 • Manage Issues and Reputation: manage potential risks and sensitive issues; serve as a trusted advisor on communications in crisis situations.

 • Engage Media and Stakeholders: Build and sustain strong relationships with key media, influencers and other stakeholders; identify opportunities to strengthen Nike’s corporate reputation.

• Drive Content Excellence: Drive corporate storytelling that is original, creative, and emotionally engaging through innovative formats.
