The Principal Licensed and Club Sport Sales Director (SSD) position leads an integrated Go-To-Market (GTM) offense across Men’s, Women’s, and Kids Soccer Licensed & Field Sports business units to “Win at the Moment of Choice” with our consumer. The person in this position will drive a clear E2E (End to End) GTM process, cultivate story-telling, and deliver tools aligned with our North America Sport offense that inspire, educate, and serve our Marketplace Partners and their teams to drive revenue, marketshare and margin for the North America Geography.

As the Principal Licensed and Club SSD your mission will be to create and deliver a best-in-class E2E GTM solutions aligned to our North America MPU Channel offense. This includes but is not limited to managing seasonal revenue targets, communications to North America MPU teams, and in season operational updates to ensure logistical effectiveness and marketplace health.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A self starting, motivated cross functional leader that is able to drive seasonal distribution/segmentation strategies with key stakeholders, elevate Nike innovation stories in Soccer + Field Sports across the marketplace, and build profitability with our retail partners.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Ensure that North America Soccer + Field Sports seasonal distribution, segmentation and allocation strategy plans are delivered efficiently and on-time.

  • Work with Global and North America cross functional merchandising, marketing and planning teams to develop, maintain, and communicate seasonal assortment vision and E2E execution with our Marketplace Partner (MPU) teams.
  • Creation, deployment of internal and external GTM tools and communication through E-mail and Slack that support seasonal execution with our focused Channel (MPU) teams.

Own GTM Tools and Sales Target Execution from GTM Meeting, through KAPM and Order Deadlines.

  • Organize, communicate and deliver seasonal Soccer + Field Sports content to Marketplace Channel (MPU) Partners through seasonal presentations, both verbal and digital. Experience speaking to large groups.
  • Deliver Channel specific Soccer + Field Sports toolkits (Athletic Specialty, Sportswear Specialty, Department Store, Regional) that make it easy to have an effective sell in presentation with our preferred Partner retailers.
  • Audit and curate specific content from Global & North America Geo Teams for Soccer + Field Sports and ensure that it is organized/delivered efficiently and on-time to our Channel MPU teams.
  • Cultivate new business opportunites for the Soccer + Field Sports business, including but not limited to, Baseball Specialty channel development, and Club Baseball strategy to support our Nike Team division in North America.
  • Provide succinct delivery communication through the season in a timely manner

You will be working with North America Geo cross functional teammates in Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Marketplace to elevate our seasonal process. In addition you will be engaging with our Global and Geo teammates to ensure key deliverables and timelines are hit that enable our MPU teams to operate efficiently and effectively.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or closely related discipline 
  • 2+ years’ experience in related sales, marketing, or logistics
  • Knowledge of athletic industry and trends in the marketplace with an understanding of the competitive marketplace 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Pro-active, excellent organizational skills 
  • Can operate autonomously 
  • Excellent team spirit 

Technical / Functional Skills

  • Project Management Tools: Microsoft Office, AirTable/SmartSheet, Miro
  • Creative Production/Development Tools: Adobe Suite, Keynote
  • Communication Tools: Campaign Monitor
  • Keynote/PowerPoint deck building and editing experience preferred
  • System knowledge – Tableau, SAP, Airtable, Smartsheet
  • A self-starter mentality and be eager to drive and own end to end initiatives with results driven, forward thinking and proficient information seeking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills to deliver Seasonal presentations.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, process excellence, and high-quality project/task delivery.
  • Ability to align cross-cultural and/or cross-functional teams, virtually and in-person. 
  • Must be a self-starter, thrives working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, organized, detail oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
