WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a driven Procurement Buyer to join our team at Nike’s European Logistics Campus in Laakdal, Belgium! The person we’re searching for is an outstanding teammate with a critical mind, always looking for ways to improve and take ownership of procurement processes. This role has direct impact on the supply chain procurement activities across EMEA and will lead end to end tenders and ensure business compliance to procurement policies. This role will report directly into the Procurement Category Manager EMEA.

  • Passion for Supply Chain Procurement and experience through work and/or studies.
  • A great communicator, able to convey your thoughts, ideas and opinions clearly and concisely face-to-face or virtually to all levels up and down stream.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a large, matrixed organisation, successfully influencing others and building collaborative partnerships to deliver large scale cross-functional projects.
  • A high-performance mentality: bias for action, drive for results while demonstrating positive attitude and enthusiasm and comfortable managing ambiguity!

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As part of the Supply chain procurement EMEA, you will be immersed in a dynamic role, engaging in a diverse array of tenders within the allocated scopes. This role will tackle a balanced mix of responsibilities within the supply chain procurement team. Collaborating closely with sourcing managers, you’ll provide crucial support on larger projects, contributing to a seamless execution. Simultaneously, you’ll take ownership of your own tenders, leading them from inception to contract signature. This position offers a unique blend of collaborative teamwork and individual project ownership, providing a platform for growth and skill enhancement in the dynamic field of procurement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead source to contract tenders, demonstrating accountability and ensuring successful execution
  • Foster relationships / partnerships with internal stakeholders 
  • Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and track their performance
  • Assist in the drafting, review and management of contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements
  • Negotiate business agreements and close deals in order to ensure maximum added value and to minimize risks
  • Understand and apply the strategic sourcing process
  • Work closely with sourcing managers to provide valuable support for larger procurement projects within the supply chain
  • Develop knowledge on market trends, pricing and industry developments
