WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role reports to the Director of Finance Inventory Product Costing and partners with teams across Business Planning, Inventory and Supply Chain Controlling, Finance Business Intelligence, Nike Technology, and our managed service provider. Together, they ensure accurate inventory valuation and product cost reporting across Nike’s global operations.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and a passion for connecting insights to action. The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity, learning agility, and a deep understanding of financial metrics that drive profitable growth.

They bring expertise in inventory valuation using standard and actual costing and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role governs the setting of standard inventory product costs, analyzes variances by cost component, and delivers insights that connect the entire end-to-end value chain. As a member of the Inventory Product Costing team within Nike Brand Finance, the scope of this role includes all finished goods products purchased from factory partners and sold to direct consumers and 3rd party wholesale partners across all of Nike’s geographies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • 3–5+ years of experience in operating budget management, financial analysis, and/or P&L management with increasing responsibility
  • Margin and product costing experience preferred
  • Proven ability to perform quantitative/qualitative analysis and financial modelin
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll collaborate across Nike’s end-to-end value chain to uncover root causes of variances between actual results, standard costs, and plan assumptions—transforming data into actionable insights that improve decision-making.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review the seasonal standard product costs maintained by Nike’s managed service provider teams, which are based on the following components of cost: FOB, Tooling, Freight, Duty, Commissions, Inter-Co Transfer Price
  • Provide guidance to Nike’s managed service provider teams in performing ad-hoc runs as needed to ensure valid unit prices exist for all products that will flow through the Nike supply chain
  • Perform Actual vs. Standard Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Analysis by cost component monthly to inform business reviews
  • Summarize and provide to stakeholders insights and analysis to support segment and internal management reporting
  • Maintain global standard operating procedures and review desktop procedures used by Nike’s managed service provider teams periodically
