WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As an Athlete Promo Footwear (APF) developer, you’ll work with key cross-functional partners, e.g. Product Design, Product Management, Sports Marketing, Operations, etc., to create world class product for athletes. You will ensure that APF processes match in-line Footwear Development standards for product excellence and will be the key point of contact for clear and accurate communication with manufacturing partners. You will report up through the APF Product Development Management team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Do you have a passion for sports, footwear, and delivering performance product that will be worn by elite athletes on a nightly basis? If yes, we are looking for a Footwear Product Developer ll. You will be an integral part of our Footwear Product Team and will help drive product excellence, manage product creation plans, and assist in process optimization. The candidate needs to be a quick learner, team driven, passionate, detail oriented, exhibit leadership skills, and demonstrate a positive approach to creative problem solving.
We are hiring for two roles on this team.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field; will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
Minimum of 1 year work experience in a product creation relevant role or 2 years of additional proven experience.
Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of product construction concepts, materials, and the product creation life cycle.
The ability to read technical drawings, sketches, and/or 3D digital files is a plus.
Ability to prioritize multiple work streams with competing priorities to deliver on tight timelines.
Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, tooling, or manufacturing processes is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will lead product teams through the creation process to facilitate high level executions and on-time delivery of product according to critical dates and performance goals. You will convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample, ensure the rigorous performance standards required by athletes* are maintained, and push the edge of expression via rich storytelling.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Develop and apply a fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to identify product and testing requirements and assure product performance through physical and field-testing (fit).
Recommend and specify material, component and construction options to meet key features and product performance goals.
Engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are completed on time, meet design intent, and can be commercialized and manufactured.
