WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role interacts with a broad range of LatAm stakeholders, working closely within Supply Chain Finance and partnering with Logistics, Financial Planning, Operations, 3PL providers, and cross‑functional teams across Mexico and GEO regions. These partnerships support accurate inventory and cost accounting activities, as well as strong financial controls that enable effective business operations.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

NIKE is looking for a finance professional with strong technical knowledge in inventory and cost accounting to support core accounting processes across the LatAm region. As the LatAm Supply Chain & Inventory Senior Accountant, you will be part of a high‑performing APLA Controlling team, supporting NIKE’s international business growth through accurate execution, sound accounting judgment, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

This role values a hands‑on, detail‑oriented mindset and a bias for action. As a key individual contributor, you will support well‑controlled, scalable accounting processes and informed decision‑making. You will report to the LatAm Supply Chain & Inventory Accounting Manager.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in inventory and supply chain accounting, finance, or

  • related functions; CPA or equivalent preferred

  • Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP, particularly inventory accounting

  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

  • Fluency in English and Spanish preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to diverse audiences

  • High standards for quality, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities

  • Ability to pass a 3‑year background check

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Execute inventory, cost, and supply chain accounting activities in line with APLA Controlling guidance and US GAAP, including monthly and quarterly closing.

  • Partner with Finance, Demand Supply Management, Supply Chain Operations, Logistics, Financial Planning, Operations, and 3PL providers to support accurate financial reporting and forecast alignment

  • Provide timely accounting positions and financial insights to enable informed business decision‑making

  • Support Internal and External Audit, SOX, and local statutory compliance activities

  • Support the execution of effective controls and contribute to well‑controlled, scalable accounting processes

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation
