WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Professional to join our Beaverton-based Jordan Basketball Brand Marketing team. You’ll help create the future of Jordan Basketball in North America, and help the next generation of hoopers consumers find their greatness.  You are someone capable of being a voice and advocate for the consumer. You live and breathe basketball culture and understand trends in the marketplace and in the emerging grassroots basketball communities.  It is important that you are passionate about obsessing and understanding the nuance of both the women’s and men’s game and serving all hoopers with distinction.

As part of our North America Basketball Brand team, the Senior Professional will report directly to the North America Director of Basketball and support both the Director and the Manager in delivering seasonal marketing plans that grow the business and create deeper relationships with our consumer in the key cities of New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

The candidate should have comprehensive grasp of the Basketball landscape along with the ability to support multiple projects, own individual workstreams, and build strong working relationships across a matrixed organization. They should bring a strong digital skillset and an understanding of all of all marketing functions.

They should be comfortable with ambiguity, eager to dive in, and embrace working collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace environment.  A team-first, positive attitude is a must.

They should be solutions oriented, strategic thinking, and passionate about Basketball.  We look for candidates who are empathetic and have a curiosity to learn, grow and develop their skillset.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will partner with our Brand Director, Brand Manager, and marketing leaders to support Jordan’s seasonal Basketball marketing plans.

You will work with our Global and North America Brand Marketing counterparts, key functional partners (Retail, Merchandising, Digital/Social, operations, etc.) and our City Brand Marketing teams in NYC, LA, and Chi to help build robust marketing plans.

As the North America Basketball Sr. Professional, you will:

_Support development of annual and seasonal marketing plans.

_Own seasonal product buys and seeding strategy.

_Assist the end-to-end process to gain insight from consumers including cultural trends.

_Assist Brand Director and Brand Manager in campaign recaps and teardowns.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As the North America Jordan Basketball Sr. Professional, you will report directly into the North America Brand Director of Basketball. 

 

You will collaborate with teammates across Jordan Brand to build more effective and efficient ways to connect with Basketball athletes* across North America.

WHAT YOU BRING

Qualifications:

_Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Art or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

_3+ years of experience in consumer marketing or related experience in retail marketing and/or digital brand marketing.

_A passion for Jordan Brand and its role in driving basketball culture in North America.

_Demonstrated genuine passion and deep understanding of Basketball, Basketball culture, fashion, trends and growing the sport across underserved communities.

_Expertise and nuanced understanding of Jordan Brand and its role in the cultural landscape.

_Dedication to respect, inclusivity, and valuing different perspectives.

_Strong written and verbal communication skills.

_Experience working within teams and a team-first mentality.

_Ability to lead initiatives and project teams.

_Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment.

_An upbeat, positive, and collaborative working style
