The annual base salary for this position ranges from $85,300.00 in our lowest geographic market to $168,800.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are in search for the next Brand Marketing Specialist for Jordan Brand in New York City and someone who can be the voice and advocate for our consumer, the Defier. You live and breathe the athletic industry and understand cultural trends in the New York City marketplace. You work well with others and have a highly creative and innovativeapproach to projects. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can develop and manage relationships with both external and internal partners. We are looking for an experienced and talented brand marketer with a passion for sport, culture, and New York City.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will assist in the planning and implementation of sport, streetwear, energy, and seasonal initiatives for Jordan Brand in North America.  Strengthening the brand, fueling consumer demand, and supporting our connection with the consumers will be a priority. You’ll maintain close relationships with key consumer groups, help identify influencers, and stay current on market trends. Leading seasonal product buys, ordering, inventory management and budgeting will be important to ensure the timely delivery of products for program executions.

You will live in New York City, the mecca of Basketball and Streetwear Culture, and create a deep connection with the Defier through digital, events, and any other area that makes sense for Jordan Brand.  We expect for you to have or develop strong connections with the communities and consumer we serve.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Support and drive the execution of seasonal, integrated marketing plans across channels
  • Build and maintain strong collaboration across key cross-functional partners
  • Oversee product sourcing, management, and seamless integration into programming
  • Manage end-to-end project execution from insight to activation with operational rigor
  • Lead the development and synthesis of consumer and market insights to inform strategy
  • Cultivate and manage on-the-ground relationships with key consumer, community and grassroots organizations
  • Partner with key cross-functional team members to define, adapt, extend, and execute physical and digital consumer experiences
  • Partner with finance and Brand Planning and Operations to track expenses and ensure alignment with allocations
  • Brief and manage external agencies
  • Identify, gather and formulate insights about the Jordan Brand consumer to enable us to better serve the next generation on the ground in New York City

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Jordan Brand New York City is at it’s best when it serves at the intersection of sport and culture. As part of the New York City Jordan Brand Marketing team, you will work cross-functionally with North America Brand, Global Brand, and City marketing teams. You will also work with key NY and NA enterprise teams including Marketplace, Digital and Communications. This role will report directly to the Jordan Brand Marketing Director, NYC.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Demonstrated genuine passion an understanding of the NYC consumer, trainers, community leaders, trends, modalities, product, and sources of influence in NYC
  • Exceptional relationship management skills that will serve both internal and external partners
  • 3+ years’ experience in consumer marketing or related experience in retail marketing and/or digital brand marketing
  • Strong written, visual, and verbal/presentation skills.
  • Experience working within teams and a team-first mentality, but still has the ability to work autonomously when required
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Digital marketing acumen and creator-led content experience
  • Curiosity, creativity, and adaptability
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking
  • Detail oriented nature across workstreams large and small
