WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will work both within the Nike Planning function and across the broader cross-functional organization including partnering closely with Merch Planning, S&IP, EBP, Merchandising, Finance, GMs, and others to deliver top-down financial business targets both pre-season and in-season. You will also work across Sport to drive trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, margin and optimize overall consumer and inventory health.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Senior Business Planner to join our team. In this role, you will help define, create, and set consumer demand. You will be responsible for developing and leading multi-season revenue, receipt, and inventory plans for the Global and Sport teams. These plans will serve consumer demand and be adjusted to match targets and actual results. You should be able to build hypotheses and use data-driven analysis, turning insights into actions through problem solving and critical thinking. A strong understanding of consumer, marketplace, product, and inventory planning is essential, with decisions based on qualitative research, data, and insights. Collaboration is key—you will build positive relationships across the organization with both upstream and downstream teams. Your strong financial and commercial skills will help you make sound decisions and solve problems.
At least 5 years of experience in retail, planning, or product management
Strong ability to influence and work well with others through effective communication
Actively listens and contributes to conversations
Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail
Ability to gather and understand market data to inform business plans, assess risk, and solve problems to achieve business results
Strong knowledge of retail metrics, including Retail Sales, Sell-Through Percentage (ST%), Weeks of Supply (WOS), and Inventories (marketplace and distribution center), Revenue, and Margin
Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (any suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be considered)
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will work with the Sport and Business Planning teams to define and lead multi-season business plans for Global, Consumer, Sport, and Marketplace areas. You will set long-term financial plans based on consumer demand and sport-specific strategies, and reconcile assortment plans with business plans to align with consumer needs. Your top-down financial targets will guide franchise/style plans, financial forecasts, and end-to-end inventory forecasts, including liquidation plans across geographies and sports. You will collaborate across Consumer and Sport teams to reconcile forecasts and communicate results and impacts with cross-functional and leadership teams.
Define and lead multi-season business plans for Consumer and Sport
Adjust and align business plans to consumer needs based on targets and actuals
Set global and regional pre-season top-down financial business targets (consumer demand, revenue, margin, inventory) for geography, gender, and channel to inform franchise/style plans, financial forecasts, and end-to-end inventory forecasts
Develop and manage inventory liquidation plans within and across channels
Define location-specific (geography, sport) consumer demand, revenue, receipt, and inventory plans
Determine cross-functional trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, optimize Nike and partner margins, and improve overall marketplace inventory health
