WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This individual will partner closely with cross‑functional teams within Nike Factory Stores, including Digital and Stores Buying, Sport Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, and Brand Marketing. They will also collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Insights/Analytics teams, using both quantitative and qualitative reporting on sales, inventory, and consumer behaviors. They will report to the Apparel Merchandising Director.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for consumer‑focused merchants with strong product affinity who thrive in a dynamic retail environment and move with the pace of the consumer. A successful Senior Buyer elevates the team through inclusive leadership and a commitment to continuous progress.
This role is responsible for adapting and curating consumer‑right assortments with the end in mind for the Nike Factory Store business by applying historical data, analytics, and real‑time marketplace insights to help shape future seasons while driving in‑season results.
The candidate should possess proven retail competence and analytical abilities, understand the retail environment, and bring a consumer‑centric perspective to the team and business.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
• 4 years’ experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand, or digital environment
• Strong affinity for current market trends and how Nike apparel can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace
• Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience
• Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell‑through, turn, ASP, UPT, and others
• Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action
• Ability to travel up to 20%

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will own bringing the seasonal assortment to life in Nike Factory Stores. You will build a deep understanding of the business and the marketplace to inform your plans, coordinating across genders and brands (Nike and Jordan), and considering how individual products and collections influence one another. You will collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure your assortment strategies meet consumer demand and are executed with excellence.
You will sharpen consumer‑led assortment plans across multiple seasons, grounded in Nike Factory Stores’ position in the market and competitive landscape. You will balance data‑driven insights with intuition to shape future seasons and influence in‑season actions through buy reviews, trading, and partnership with key stakeholders.
