Senior Data Engineer - NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Drive work to completion with hands-on development responsibilities while partnering with the Engineering Manager to provide leadership and innovation on current projects; Work closely with the Product Manager, Lead Engineer, and other team members to drive to deliver data and analytics capabilities; Collaborate with business partners and other technology solution delivery, architecture, and platform teams; Design and build reusable components, frameworks and libraries at scale to support analytics products; Identify and tackle issues concerning data management to improve data quality; Build continuous integration, test-driven development and production deployment frameworks; provide production debut support and resolutions for customer production issues, including testing for upgrades for business object tools; collaborate with data scientists to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions; provide support in data exploration, feature engineering, ensuring data availability and quality for machine learning models and running the simulations; design and implement data solutions for analytical queries and decision engine algorithms; work on performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines and database queries for improved efficiency and cost effectiveness; coordinate with various teams on their data to ensure smooth execution of data pipelines; conduct data audits and resolve data quality issues to ensure reliable simulations and analysis; and lead initiatives to continuously improve data engineering practices, adopt new technologies, and enhance data infrastructure capabilities. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
