We’re looking for a Senior Consumer Planner to join our team!
In this role, you will develop demand forecasts used by Merchandising, Finance, Sourcing & Supply Planning teams to drive critical business processes & decisions. This candidate needs to have industry planning experience and display strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. We’re looking for a self-starter who’s comfortable with ambiguity and has the ability to work both collaboratively & independently.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Senior Consumer Planner for GSA, you will utilize your subject matter expertise and collaborate with functional partners in Product, Merchandising, and Planning to focus on the consumer first as we plan for some of the most critical, highly visible programs at Nike (eg. Global Football, NBA, WNBA, College/High School, Corporate). You will utilize industry standard planning concepts, such as seasonless ladder plans, Line Plan Architecture, and Assortment planning. You will triangulate retail metric driven insights with Product and Merchandising teams to make decisions on assortments & retail sales plans that are grounded in profitability and a keen consumer focus. You will assess future risk and opportunity in the marketplace and communicate with your cross functional partners to enable informed decisions. You will collaborate with geography Merch, Marketplace, and Planning teams to understand the individual geography marketplaces and utilize those insights to shape your future demand. You will navigate our “Matrix” of internal partners and collaboratively make fact-based decisions, advised by collective expertise, strategic business priorities, stakeholder input, and, most importantly, data driven metrics. You'll collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share standard methodologies, and develop systems knowledge. In addition, you'll participate in a team structure that facilitates and improves individual and team performance.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role you will collaborate closely with Global & Geography cross-functional partners in Product, Merchandising, Finance, Strategy, Merchandise Financial Planning, Marketplace, S&IP, and other Geography Planning teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
• 5 years of relevant work experience in merchandise planning, retail demand planning, merchandising, allocation, or financial planning
• Extensive experience in managing and understanding Retail concepts such as open to buy, gross margin, seasonal trending, inventory turn, and sku efficiency
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
• Ability to effectively communicate data-dense and/or sensitive topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience to influence action
• Ability to build strong working relationships with cross functional and consumer team partners
• Strong influencing skills, including experience collaborating with virtual teams to align on a unified agenda cross-functionally
• Sound judgment to elevate strategic concerns to senior management in a timely and appropriate manner
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented and self-motivated, with strong organizational skills (multi-tasking)
• Familiarity with using statistical forecasting & data science to develop new ways of working and make more informed decisions
• High level of proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Word and Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, & macros
• Experience with SAP/APO, Cognos or other advanced planning systems is preferred
• Experience in a licensed, wholesale apparel, footwear, or equipment organization is preferred
