We are looking for an experienced leader of Finance Shared Services at scale, ideally in a Fortune 500 environment leveraging third party offshoring. This is a high-impact opportunity with significant visibility across the Finance executive leadership team and stakeholders across the Nike enterprise.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will directly report to the VP of Finance Operations & Transformation, and partner closely with the Executive Finance Leadership Team (EFLT) and their sub-functional leaders, as well as key cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., business leaders, Human Resources, Technology, Procurement, Legal, Global Process Owners (GPOs), among many others). You will also govern and partner with our Managed Services Provider (MSP) and any related consulting engagements.

Nike is a growth company that is transforming the consumer landscape across sports, fitness, health, and wellness. This growth and complexity require our Finance Function to keep pace and scale with Nike’s rate of change. Our Finance Leadership team is seeking a seasoned leader to drive our Finance Shared Services Operations team, consisting of both onshore and offshore employees across Record-to-Report (R2R), Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C). This role will oversee the day-to-day operations of these three core finance processes, maintain a strong relationship with our MSP and teammates, govern outcomes and performance, and deliver continuous improvement of our processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or a related business field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
15+ years of experience with Finance, Accounting and/or Transformational capabilities, inclusive of 3+ years experience in leading Finance Shared Services Operations, including:
Prior experience establishing and/or managing a large-scale relationship with an MSP
Established and ran governance for Functional or Enterprise-wide programs
Firsthand knowledge of risks and issues that impact Shared Delivery and an MSP relationship
Deep understanding of impact to Enterprise Value as SLAs and KPIs are adjusted
Understanding of ways of working between GPOs, Functional Leaders, and MSP
Finance expertise inclusive of processes and accounting policies, GAAP, and statutory accounting principles.
Build strong internal and external networks with a diverse set of stakeholders, peers, and partners to deliver Enterprise priorities.
Strong people management skills and leadership experience.
Experience in managing a third party managed service provider, governing service levels, and a sound understanding of risks and issues that impact global service delivery and operations.
Experience in ongoing process optimization and continuous improvement; driving better outcomes leveraging continuous excellence methodologies.
Proven ability and track record of translating broad goals into achievable steps and is customer focused and goal driven. Solves complex, cross-functional challenges and issues efficiently and effectively.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Responsible for daily operations of Finance Shared Services (R2R, P2P, and O2C) across the globe and for both Nike and Converse
Run weekly/monthly/quarterly governance process to ensure accurate and timely service delivery in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Foster strong relationships and own communication channels with key business stakeholders, Nike Finance Functions, Finance Shared Services Organization, and MSP; promote transparency and open lines of communication
Coordinate process optimization opportunities identified by Global Process Owners (GPOs) that require service transformation from MSP
Responsible for implementing continuous excellence practices required to optimize Shared Delivery (SLAs, Key Performance Indicators, reporting, billing and chargeback disciplines, etc.)
Review and report out on SLAs and KPIs on a regular basis to ensure contract requirements are being met
Manage exception-based problem resolution, guidance, and escalation
Own the strategy and actions required to ensure a successful partnership, aligned culture, and common talent practices
Coordinate systems access for MSP and partner with Nike Technology to resolve data and technology incidents impacting service levels
