As part of the Nike Pacific (AUS/NZ) Executive Leadership Team, the Senior Director, Nike Direct Stores reports into the VP/GM of Nike Pacific (AUS/NZ). This role is responsible for delivering our Pacific Nike Stores strategy and vision across our owned Nike Stores (NSO), Nike Partner (Franchise) Stores (NSP) and Nike Value Stores (NVS).
You will work across a highly matrixed cross functional team, providing both deep functional expertise and strong enterprise leadership. You will manage critical external stakeholder relationships with Nike Partner Stores leadership and key relationships with senior internal leaders locally and offshore.
You will lead a large team of over 900 retail employees across our stores network and work with a diverse teams through Nike Direct, Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Legal and Operations.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This position requires a self-motivated leader with a deep retail, consumer centric and commercial/marketplace knowledge base. You’ll have extensive experience working with external customers/stakeholders in senior roles, demonstrable experience connected to retail and proven success leading, inspiring and uniting large x-functional teams around a clear vision.
Bachelors degree, in a relevant subject and/or minimum of 12 year’s experience in a relevant role or industry with a focus on Retail, Sales, Merchandising or similar.
Demonstrated Retail or Commercial management and marketplace expertise in retail stores, sales, real estate, franchise model management and financial acumen will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, exceptional leadership, and retail acumen, while driving a strategic vision, priorities, and growth.
Experience managing complex account conversations, commercial and retail metrics, and presenting and influencing to internal and external stakeholders.
Exhibit a passion for service, retail, product, and most importantly the Nike Brand.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As the leader of Nike Direct Stores for Pacific (Australia & New Zealand), you will own the Nike Direct Stores business and team through a One United Nike Stores Strategy. In your role you will,
Deliver the Business with direct accountability to deliver on sales, retail and inventory metrics.
Lead the strategic direction for the Nike Stores (NSO, NVS, and NSP) aligned to a consumer and concept vision.
Working at the pace of retail, you will lead our retail stores, balancing consumer, people, brand and business health and delivering sustainable and profitable growth for the entire Nike Stores portfolio.
Have the ability to inspire and influence leaders of large teams to execute within a retail environment, elevating our consumer experience and enhancing team engagement.
Own the overall store fleet strategy to scale our store concept offense and mono-brand inline and value store strategy.
Elevate Nike within the Retail landscape and deliver world class retail experiences to our consumers.
